Adam Thomas makes a pointed dig at the I’m A Celeb final chaos and says ‘that’s what winning should feel like’ as he celebrates son’s success

Okay, so Adam Thomas finally spoke out about the absolute mess that was the I’m A Celebrity… South Africa finale, and honestly, it was so good to hear! He basically called out all the craziness, and it felt so validating after watching everything unfold. I’ve been following this whole season, and it was a relief someone finally said what we were all thinking!

The 37-year-old actor shared photos on Instagram of his 11-year-old son, Teddy, celebrating a win at a dance competition, showing off his trophies.

He wrote: ‘My boy came home this weekend with four trophies from his dance comps!!

It wasn’t really about the awards themselves, though. It was seeing his face – genuine happiness and pride. That’s what winning is all about, and I was so proud of him.

I’ve realized something as I’ve gotten older: things like awards and recognition aren’t what truly matter. I feel like I already achieved everything important a long time ago, because I have everything I need right now.

Adam recently won the second season of the I’m A Celeb spin-off, but he admitted the victory didn’t feel as satisfying as he’d expected.

Adam was involved in a fair bit of drama during the live episode on Friday.

Things got heated on the show when Jimmy Bullard angrily confronted Ant and Dec. He was upset they’d removed footage from his challenge with Adam, where Adam supposedly called him a highly offensive name after Jimmy decided to stop the task.

And David Haye exploded at Adam following on from their ongoing ‘bullying’ scandal.

After Adam shared his newest post, a lot of his followers quickly went to the comments to show their support.

His I’m A Celeb co-star Scarlett Moffatt said: ‘Massive well done teddy.’

Big Brother’s Kerry Riches: ‘Super Star!’

A fan added: ‘A champ raising a champ.’

‘Love you two champions.’

‘Well done Teddy! And well done Adam what a great Dad!’

‘Winner like his Dad.’

‘Yesssssss.’

This follows Maya Jama’s comments about the argument that happened on the recent season of I’m A Celebrity… South Africa.

Maya, the 31-year-old host of the popular ITV show Love Island (since January 2023), shared a funny video compilation online and commented, ‘I didn’t see the full show, but even from this short clip…”

I really enjoy live TV, especially hosting the aftershow, because so few channels take the risk anymore. People crave genuine, unedited reactions, and a pre-recorded show just can’t compare to the energy of a live broadcast!

‘Ant and Dec I love you forever also x.’

At the end of the show, Jimmy was allowed to address a situation where Adam reportedly used a highly offensive slur against him during a heated argument that led to the program being cut short last year.

Jimmy explained he was leaving the show for private reasons and revealed that he wouldn’t have been paid in full unless he said the show’s catchphrase during the challenge.

Jimmy acknowledged he made a mistake and upset people by blaming someone else. However, he firmly stated that he won’t tolerate abusive, aggressive, or intimidating behavior.

Jimmy asked Ant and Dec for their thoughts, pointing out that they had been present but hadn’t included any of the relevant footage.

‘You didn’t show any of the C-bombs, it’s a liberty’, Jimmy fumed.

Ant explained they didn’t use the offensive word on air because it’s not allowed. He added that he was present during the incident and didn’t find it threatening, repeating to Jim that he was there to witness it firsthand.

Adam stated that he fully accepts responsibility for what happened, and acknowledged that everyone involved was feeling very emotional at the time.

I truly care about Jimmy and feel badly about what happened. I’ve apologized to him many times, and I’m listening to his feelings. All I can do now is offer my sincere apologies again.

I wasn’t comfortable presenting myself that way, and I haven’t done so before or since. I apologize, Jimmy.

Honestly, it was so frustrating! David just had to chime in, saying ‘Funny way of showing it’ right when Ant and Dec were getting to something good. They immediately told him to be quiet, and I totally understood why! It was like, let them finish, David! Ugh.

Okay, so David was totally laying it all out there, right? He basically said he doesn’t hold back, he just tells it like it is. And what he’s seen? A ton of manipulation! He thinks they’re editing everything to make Adam look like the poor, helpless guy, just to get everyone on his side. It’s so obvious to me, honestly! They’re totally playing the victim card with him.

There was a lot of playful arguing between us, and a lot of what they said was left on the cutting room floor. But now, I think it’s time to reveal what really happened.

Sinitta angrily left the stage and shouted to the audience, explaining that they hadn’t experienced what she had. She described the situation as frightening and abusive, saying everyone was trembling.

Jimmy raised his voice, insisting that an apology from Adam didn’t excuse aggressive, abusive, or intimidating behavior. He refused to accept Ant’s claim that it hadn’t been aggressive, abusive, or intimidating, and demanded they review the interaction immediately for everyone to see. He wanted to watch it play out right then and there.

Ant and Dec wrapped up: ‘Right, let’s leave it there. We’ll agree to disagree Jim.’

During the aired footage of their heated argument, Adam was visibly upset with his co-star, yelling, “Jimmy, are you kidding me? I’m in there getting covered in ants!”

Jimmy replied: ‘Woah, calm down. That’s pathetic.’

Craig and some of his co-stars later said that Adam repeatedly used a highly offensive swear word in footage that wasn’t shown on television.
