Over ten years ago, A$AP Rocky playfully called himself a “Fashion Killa,” showcasing his strong sense of style. Now, that feels like an understatement. He’s moved beyond simply mentioning designer brands in his music and is now building his own fashion brand. In recent years, Rocky has been quietly transitioning from a popular rapper to a respected and versatile creative director, shifting his focus from performing to designing.
Okay, so A$AP Rocky is really going all-in on design, and it’s awesome to watch. From creating cool stuff for your home to starting a fancy jewelry line inspired by Venice, and even dominating fashion weeks around the world, he’s clearly building something lasting beyond just music. I’m getting seriously impressed with how he’s making his mark on the physical world – it’s like he’s leveling up in a whole new game!
The Rise of hOMMEMADE: High-Concept Furniture with a Street Edge

When Rocky started his furniture design studio, hOMMEMADE, it quickly became apparent he was creating much more than just standard products. He designs bold, thought-provoking, and fully developed pieces of industrial design. Recently, the brand gained attention by transforming a well-known modernist house for Basic.Space LA, filling it entirely with his unique creations. This demonstrated Rocky’s understanding of how design works within a space, successfully combining classic mid-century style with a modern, hip-hop-inspired vibe.
What truly sets this designer apart is his willingness to experiment and challenge expectations. Consider the SATELLAMP, part of his Galaxy Collection, which sells for between $35,000 and $50,000. This unique piece combines a lamp and projector, crafted from a raw, industrial mix of materials like plywood and exposed circuit boards with built-in LEDs. He also presented a custom retro gaming console, blending the charm of classic games with a sleek, modern design. But perhaps his most daring creation is the Trash Bag Couch, a collaboration with Crosby Studios priced at $300,000. This sofa remarkably resembles a pile of street trash, cleverly subverting expectations and prompting a discussion about the contrast between urban life and luxury design.
PAVĒ NITEŌ: Skulls, Personas, and Venetian High Jewelry
Although A$AP Rocky is known for his bold style in furniture design, his jewelry line, PAVĒ NITEŌ, launched quietly. Trademarked in May 2024 by his company, A$AP Rocky Ventures, Inc., the brand stayed private until he was ready to publicly showcase it.
Okay, so at Matthieu Blazy’s recent show, A$AP Rocky totally stole the spotlight. He was decked out in Chanel, but what really caught my eye were these incredible skull rings he was wearing – seriously detailed! Turns out, he designed the whole jewelry collection, which includes rings and necklaces, with this old Venetian jeweler called Maison Codognato. They’ve been around since 1866 and are known for making stuff that’s full of meaning, historical references, and just amazing quality. It’s a cool collab – a modern artist working with a centuries-old workshop.
This collab with Codognato actually started because I’m a huge fan of his work – I already had two of his skull rings with the blindfolds, and they totally sparked the idea for this collection. I really wanted to connect my music with the designs, so the PAVĒ NITEŌ pieces represent the six different characters from my DON’T BE DUMB album. We even based the whole vibe on the creepy but amazing album art Tim Burton did for it. I was so hyped on how it all turned out, I wore the pieces to the 2026 Met Gala – honestly, they deserved their moment in the spotlight!
Steering the Vision at PUMA and Ray-Ban

A$AP Rocky’s influence extends beyond his own projects; established global brands are now trusting him with their history and image. For example, PUMA appointed him Creative Director for their collaboration with Formula 1. Rocky’s job is to connect the world of fast-paced racing with street fashion, and he’s been completely transforming F1’s look. He’s released unique clothing lines with a distinct New York style and created visually impressive ad campaigns that blend car culture and fashion, essentially reinventing racing apparel for a new audience.
After changing the world of sportswear, Rocky has now made waves in eyewear. Ray-Ban recently appointed him as their first-ever Global Creative Director – a big change for the 80-year-old company. This isn’t just a celebrity partnership; Rocky is leading Ray-Ban Studios and shaping the brand’s future. He’s responsible for everything from creating innovative collections – like his first line of gold and black Mega Icons – to overseeing global marketing and reimagining Ray-Ban stores, fundamentally changing the direction of this iconic brand.
AWGE, Chanel, and Redefining the Runway
A$AP Rocky has made a huge impact on fashion, starting with his own brand, AWGE. He officially launched AWGE’s clothing line at Paris Fashion Week in 2024, demonstrating his ability to run a major design company. Since then, AWGE quickly grew in popularity, partnering with established brands like COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT and Opium for exclusive collections. The brand also created the popular merchandise for his DON’T BE DUMB album, successfully merging his music and fashion worlds, and eventually presented a runway show at New York Fashion Week.
In addition to his own fashion brand, A$AP Rocky’s partnership with Chanel is truly groundbreaking. Chanel, a famously exclusive French luxury brand, hadn’t often featured men as official ambassadors – until now. Rocky has changed that completely. He’s redefining menswear at Chanel by effortlessly incorporating their pieces into his unique style – pairing tweed jackets with casual denim or accessorizing with his own jewelry. He doesn’t simply wear Chanel; he reimagines it, bringing a fresh, New York, hip-hop perspective to the classic brand.
The Verdict
A$AP Rocky has moved beyond simply being a musician with an eye for style. With projects like hOMMEMADE, PAVĒ NITEŌ, and AWGE—plus his innovative collaborations with Chanel—he’s creating a unique path that few artists achieve. He famously declared himself a “Fashion Killa” years ago, and now he’s actually building a whole new creative universe.
