Since 2021, Marvel’s expansion into TV has had its ups and downs. The strongest shows, like WandaVision, Loki, and the surprisingly enjoyable Wonder Man (coming in 2026), really stand out because they offer unique focuses and viewpoints.
Disney wanted Marvel to make more TV shows, but not all of them resonated with fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For example, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law had a comedic style that some viewers didn’t enjoy. Even more problematic, shows like Secret Invasion felt pointless and didn’t tie in well with the next movie, The Marvels.
It’s debatable whether you need to watch the Marvel TV shows to understand the movies, as the films usually provide enough background information. However, shows like Ms. Marvel and WandaVision directly connect to the movie The Marvels, introducing key characters like Kamala Khan and Monica Rambeau through the TV series before they appear in the film.
Marvel’s TV shows have featured many incredibly powerful characters, including those with magical abilities, enhanced strength from experiments, and even god-like powers. It’s unclear if any of them will reappear in future Marvel projects, but here’s a list of the 15 strongest characters who first appeared in an MCU TV series.
16. Skaar
She-Hulk: Attorney At Law
The finale of the Disney+ series She-Hulk surprised viewers with a major reveal: Bruce Banner, in his Smart Hulk form, introduced his son, Skaar. In the Marvel comics, Skaar is the offspring of Hulk and an alien woman from the planet Sakaar. He possesses incredible strength and resilience, powered by gamma radiation, and is a fierce fighter.
While we haven’t seen the full extent of his powers yet, and his role in the MCU is still unknown, Skaar is a significant addition. Simply being related to the Hulk means he could become one of the strongest physical characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, even with his limited screen time so far.
15. Simon Williams
Wonder Man
Wonder Man presents a challenge when trying to assess his power level, mainly because his narrative focuses on him holding back. Simon Williams consistently restrains his abilities and feelings, concealing his powers as he pursues an acting career.
Despite appearing controlled, he has incredible power. He seems to have both super strength and the ability to release powerful energy blasts, but he’s still learning to control these abilities. Because of a unique clause in his contract—the “Doorman Clause”—Wonder Man is compelled to hide his true potential, so viewers only get brief glimpses of what he can really do.
Right now, Simon’s biggest strength is his connection with Trevor Slattery, but the show Wonder Man has only hinted at his full potential. If season 2 explores his powers more fully, he could become a surprisingly powerful hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
14. Monica Rambeau
WandaVision
We first see a young Monica Rambeau in Captain Marvel, but she really develops as a character in WandaVision. She returns as a skilled S.W.O.R.D. agent, and her life is forever changed after repeatedly entering Wanda Maximoff’s strange reality, the Hex. This exposure fundamentally alters her body at a cellular level, granting her incredible powers.
By the series’ conclusion, Monica Rambeau can absorb and redirect energy, become intangible to avoid attacks, and is even bulletproof – she can withstand attacks from powerful beings like Wanda without getting hurt. Her abilities seem incredibly vast, and we’ve only seen a glimpse of what she’s truly capable of.
In The Marvels, Monica Rambeau’s journey continues, leaving her and Beast stuck in a different universe with Binary, a version of her mother from another reality. It’s currently unknown if the Marvel Cinematic Universe will revisit her story, but with Beast appearing in the upcoming Doomsday project, there’s a possibility Monica could be involved in future events.
13. Moon Knight / Mr. Knight
Moon Knight
As a huge MCU fan, I’ve got to say, Moon Knight really threw some curveballs with its powers! The whole thing revolves around Marc Spector and Steven Grant, who are basically vessels for Khonshu, the Egyptian moon god. He’s the source of their abilities, making them his representatives here on Earth, and it’s honestly one of the most unique power dynamics we’ve seen so far. It’s not your typical superhero origin story, and that’s what I loved about it.
As a huge Moon Knight fan, I’m fascinated by how his powers work! When Khonshu is backing him, Marc Spector becomes incredibly strong, tough, and heals super fast. Plus, he can just summon those amazing suits, making him a force to be reckoned with. But what’s really interesting is how dependent he is on Khonshu – when Khonshu was trapped, Marc completely lost access to both the suit and his powers. It really highlights that connection and makes things so much more complicated for him.
At the end of Moon Knight, Marc Spector thinks he’s broken free from the Egyptian god Khonshu. However, a surprising reveal shows he has another personality, Jake Lockley, who is still working with Khonshu. This means Marc might not have lost his powers completely.
12. She-Hulk / Jennifer Walters
She-Hulk: Attorney At Law
The series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law follows Jennifer Walters, Bruce Banner’s cousin, who gains Hulk-like powers after an accidental blood transfusion. However, unlike Bruce, Jen quickly learns to control her transformations and remains fully herself – both mentally and emotionally – as She-Hulk.
Although it’s often discussed whether she’s as strong as an enraged Hulk, the show demonstrates she can compete with Bruce in sparring and equal his strength in challenges. This ability alone establishes her as one of the most powerful heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Jen is a particularly interesting character because she manages to juggle being a superhero with her job as a lawyer, and she brings a unique, funny, and self-aware style to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It would be disappointing if She-Hulk didn’t reappear, but there are no plans for her in the upcoming film Doomsday or any other currently announced projects.
11. Zombie Wanda
What If…?
The zombie version of Wanda from What If…? is a truly frightening villain. Even before becoming a zombie, Wanda was incredibly powerful as the Scarlet Witch, with vast magical abilities and a strong link to the Mind Stone, making her one of Marvel’s most formidable characters.
Wanda Maximoff’s abilities are incredibly strong—even being near them can awaken cosmic powers in others, like Monica Rambeau. In the What If… Zombies?! storyline, those powers become truly terrifying when Wanda herself becomes infected.
Even as a zombie, she still has incredible powers like moving objects with her mind, blasting energy, and even altering reality, making her a formidable and almost unstoppable threat. However, the zombification has made her erratic and acts on impulse instead of reason, making her more unpredictable and harder to control than the Wanda we’ve seen in other Marvel stories.
10. Ms. Marvel
Ms. Marvel
The series Ms. Marvel features Kamala Khan, a quickly beloved new hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As a huge superhero fan—particularly of Captain Marvel—Kamala feels like a relatable stand-in for the audience, bringing a contagious enthusiasm to the world she’s always wanted to be a part of.
As a huge film fan, I was really captivated by how her abilities came to life! It all centers around this incredible bangle that lets her tap into cosmic energy and basically build anything she can imagine out of light – it makes for some seriously cool fight scenes and gives her a ton of options. But the biggest surprise for me was the series finale – discovering she’s also a mutant! It totally expands her potential within the MCU and I’m so excited to see where they take her story next.
In The Marvels, Kamala Khan continues to develop her powers and demonstrates her skills alongside Carol Danvers and Monica Rambeau. Her recent appearance included recruiting Kate Bishop, hinting at a potential Young Avengers team, which would offer a more lighthearted story within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, it appears that Ms. Marvel will also play a role in Doomsday.
9. Agatha Harkness
WandaVision & Agatha All Along
Initially appearing as the seemingly harmless neighbor Agnes, Agatha’s reveal as the powerful witch Agatha Harkness was a highlight of WandaVision. She’s such a compelling and unpredictable character that she quickly became popular enough to warrant her own spin-off series, Agatha All Along, and is now considered one of the strongest magical figures in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
As a huge movie fan, I’ve always been fascinated by this character. She’s not just any witch – we’re talking centuries old, and incredibly powerful. She didn’t earn that power honestly, though. She basically spent generations taking it from other witches, starting with the people she originally worked with! And the Darkhold? That book has given her access to magic so ancient and forbidden, it puts her knowledge way beyond almost anyone else in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s seriously scary stuff.
Agatha has incredible abilities, including mind control, powerful magic, and protection against psychic attacks – even from Wanda and Billy Maximoff. Though she seemingly sacrificed herself to save Billy in the Agatha All Along finale, she returns as a ghost, continuing to mentor him and demonstrating that her power persists beyond death.
8. Sylvie
Loki
The series Loki presents Sylvie, a version of Loki who is both incredibly powerful and deeply complicated. Having lived her life evading the Time Variance Authority, Sylvie distances herself from the name ‘Loki’ and forges her own unique path.
As a huge movie fan, I’m always fascinated by characters with incredible powers, and this one is seriously impressive. Her main thing is enchantment – basically, she can get inside your head, mess with your memories, and even control you, and she’s really good at it. But it’s not just that! Her magic is so powerful that she and Loki actually teamed up to take down Alioth, which is something almost no one could survive. It’s a testament to just how strong she is.
Despite Loki’s warnings, Sylvie destroys He Who Remains, fundamentally changing the multiverse. She doesn’t take his place as ruler, and the season 2 finale of Loki shows her lost and without direction after Loki’s sacrifice. Sylvie is still a major unpredictable force in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and there’s speculation, though nothing confirmed, that she’ll be in Doomsday.
7. Billy Maximoff / William Kaplan
Agatha All Along
The Agatha All Along episode hints at a powerful new threat in the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Billy Maximoff. When Billy’s spirit leaves Wanda’s created reality (the Hex), it enters the body of William Kaplan. However, he doesn’t remember his past life and grows up simply as William, unaware of his true identity.
Billy Kaplan, also known as Wiccan, is the son of the Scarlet Witch and eventually develops powerful magical abilities. He can control magical energy and even slightly alter reality, and he’s still discovering the full extent of his powers.
Although Billy hasn’t officially become the Wiccan, his family history is proving to be incredibly significant. Now that he knows the Witches’ Road was a false creation connected to Agatha Harkness, Billy is accepting who he is and, with her spirit as a guide, is determined to find his twin brother, Tommy.
