Rihanna and PUMA Reportedly Conclude FENTY Partnership
Rihanna’s collaboration with PUMA, which lasted three years under a recent contract and spanned over a decade overall, has ended. She first partnered with PUMA in 2014, significantly influencing streetwear fashion at the time, and briefly rejoined the brand in March 2023 after her Super Bowl performance. While her new designs, including the Avanti and Creeper Phatty, didn’t sell as well as her original collection, the partnership was successful. Recent photos of Rihanna wearing a competitor’s shoes sparked speculation about her future, and sources confirm the split with PUMA was friendly. It appears her partner, A$AP Rocky, is also finishing his work with the brand, suggesting PUMA is planning a new direction.
Gucci Enters Formula 1 as Alpine’s New Title Sponsor
Starting in 2027, Gucci will be the main sponsor of the Alpine F1 Team in a multi-year deal. This marks the first time a luxury fashion brand has taken on such a prominent role with a Formula 1 constructor, replacing BWT as the title sponsor. The team will officially be known as “Gucci Racing Alpine Formula One Team.” The agreement, spearheaded by Kering CEO Luca de Meo and advisor Flavio Briatore, is worth an estimated $50 to $60 million per year. Initial looks suggest the car will feature a black base with Gucci’s signature red and green stripes, along with the brand’s gold “G” logo. Gucci will also be designing the team’s clothing for both on and off the track.
Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS Announces Historic Hong Kong Store Opening
I’m so excited to hear that SKIMS is finally opening a store! As a huge fan, I’ve been waiting for this! It’s happening in Hong Kong’s Times Square, and they’re saying it’ll be open in November 2026. For those who don’t know, SKIMS was started by Kim Kardashian and Jens Grede back in 2019, and they’ve been doing really well online in Asia. Kim actually said Hong Kong’s fashion scene was a big reason they chose that location. Jens also mentioned that having a physical store is really important for connecting with customers and that this is the first step toward expanding SKIMS all over Asia. I can’t wait!
Chanel in Seoul: Matthieu Blazy Breaks Down His Historic Métiers d’Art 2026 Show
Creative director Matthieu Blazy presented his first Métiers d’Art collection for Chanel in Seoul, having moved the show from New York. He felt both cities shared a similar vibrant energy. The collection focused on practical, everyday wear, taking inspiration from classic Chanel designs. The runway showcased a playful mix of styles – animal prints reminiscent of Gabrielle Chanel’s work, pop culture nods to superheroes like Spider-Man and Superman, and even a suit made from tweed resembling popcorn. The show celebrated the skill of Chanel’s Parisian artisans, emphasizing handmade details over mass production. Blazy blended influences from the 70s and Art Deco periods, mirroring how people today combine vintage and modern pieces in their everyday style.
Aimé Leon Dore’s First Dubai Pop-up Delivers a 360 Flagship Experience
Aimé Leon Dore recently opened a temporary shop in Dubai, marking the launch of “Ounass Stage” – a new retail experience from luxury online retailer Ounass. This brought Teddy Santis’s menswear collection to the Middle East for the first time. The Dubai location, like Aimé Leon Dore’s stores in New York and London, featured unique art installations, including a basketball sculpture by Tyrrell Winston, vintage furniture, and a customized Porsche 911SC. It also included the Café Leon Dore, offering the same custom espresso machine and atmosphere as the brand’s other cafes around the world.
