Danny Dyer and Katherine Parkinson, who play rivals on the show, hinted that the romantic connection between their characters will become stronger in the next episode. Viewers have been enjoying the developing relationship between Freddie and Lizzie and are hoping to see them become a couple.
In a recent interview with Digital Spy, Danny Dyer discussed how Freddie and Lizzie’s relationship intensifies in episode 4. He described it as a turning point, adding that he and co-star Katherine Kelly are pleased with the positive response from viewers.
Katherine also shared that both she and her partner were genuinely surprised by how many people connected with their story, and they were thrilled about it.

We had a great time filming those scenes and felt a real connection while we were doing them, but we didn’t expect the audience to respond as strongly as they did.
Dyer previously mentioned a scene where characters undress and play around, which he found strange at first. However, he explained that it felt natural within the context of the story.

The actor explained that participating in the scene was a voluntary choice. It’s simply part of the project. They specifically mentioned that Katherine appears nude, along with several other performers, and that the nudity felt appropriate for the scene’s emotional tone.

As Jilly Cooper often portrays, that’s a common element in our work,” Parkinson explained. “Many of us include those kinds of scenes, and it just becomes routine. It’s only when you step back from the project that you realize what you’ve actually done.
Everything was done to capture Jilly’s playful energy – it’s all about storytelling. That scene was genuinely funny, and it wasn’t about the nudity – it was the situation itself and your comedic timing that made it work. You were brilliant in it.
I’ve made my decision, but I’m not sure if it will be accepted,” Dyer stated. “There’s also some running involved, and I don’t believe anyone would want to see that kind of performance.”
