Dara from Bulgaria won the Eurovision Song Contest 2026! After a competition with 25 countries tonight (May 16th), the votes were tallied, and Dara emerged as the winner.
Dara won with her song ‘Bangaranga’, earning a total of 516 points. Israel finished second with 343 points, and Romania took third place with 296. Unfortunately, the UK’s entry, ‘Ein, Zwei, Drei’ by Look Mum No Computer, only received one point.
Online Eurovision fans celebrated the victory, with many taking to X (formerly Twitter) to express their excitement. One user wrote, “Congrats Bulgaria, very well deserved win!!!” while another simply exclaimed, “LET’S GOOOOOO.”
After the semi-final rounds on May 12th and 14th, the official participant list was finalized. Representing the UK was electronic musician Look Mum No Computer (Sam Battle), performing the song ‘Ein, Zwei Drei’. La Voix, known from Drag Race UK, made history as the UK’s first ‘spokesqueen,’ and Graham Norton provided commentary for the BBC with his signature humor.
The grand finale at Vienna’s Stadthalle began with a performance by last year’s winner, JJ from Austria. He started with a version of Mozart’s ‘Queen of the Night’ before transitioning into his latest song, ‘Unknown’.
