New James Bond movie from Peaky Blinders boss gets exciting update: “It’s really, really good”

With the James Bond films moving forward under new ownership by Amazon, they’ve chosen Steven Knight – known for creating popular shows like Peaky Blinders, SAS Rogue Heroes, A Thousand Blows, and even Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? – to lead the next installment.

Beyond his many successes, Knight demonstrated impressive discretion, telling Deadline at the BAFTA TV Awards that he couldn’t reveal details about a potential Bond project—though he did offer a few intriguing hints.

He enthusiastically praised the project, saying, “It’s truly excellent! Things are progressing wonderfully, and we have a fantastic team working on it. I’m excited for everyone to see the finished result!”

I heard the CEO talking about the Amazon partnership, and he said things are going amazingly well! He just kept saying “Everything is going fantastically,” so it sounds like they’re really happy with how it’s all progressing. As a fan, that’s really exciting to hear!

Screenwriter Knight is working on the film alongside director Denis Villeneuve and producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman.
