Horizon Steel Frontiers is being created with the help of Guerrilla Games, the studio behind the popular Horizon series. The game takes place in the dangerous world of the Horizon universe, specifically the Deadlands, and combines the exciting machine combat the series is known for with the expansive features of a massive online role-playing game.

In this world, you can choose to hunt machines with friends, or compete against other tribes to become the most powerful. You’ll also be able to join one of the famous tribes – like the Nora, Tenakth, Utaru, or Oseram – and create a custom character that you can share with the community.

Sony and NCSOFT are preparing a major global launch for Horizon Steel Frontiers

As a big fan, I was really excited to hear what NCSOFT had to say on their latest earnings call. It sounds like this new project is huge for them – honestly, one of their most important global releases ever! The co-CEOs, Park Byung-moo and CFO Hong Won-jun, both seem to think it’s going to really boost their brand worldwide, and that makes sense considering it’s based on a really popular Sony IP. I’m getting seriously hyped for this one!

Sony has high hopes for this game, so both companies are still working out the release date and long-term marketing plans. The CEO has confirmed development is going smoothly, which is great news. They want to make sure the game lives up to its potential by taking the time to deliver a polished and complete experience.
