Agatha Christie’s unsolved real-life disappearance to be covered in new mystery thriller

Felicity Jones, known for her role in Star Wars, will portray Agatha Christie in a new thriller inspired by a real mystery from the author’s life. The film, titled Eleven Missing Days, stars Jones alongside Vincent Cassel and tells the story of Christie’s unexplained disappearance in 1926.

According to Deadline, the movie tells the story of Agatha Christie’s mysterious disappearance in December 1926, when she was a world-famous author. Her vanishing made headlines and baffled everyone.

This mystery feels like it jumped straight out of an Agatha Christie novel. The story follows the investigation into a woman’s disappearance, and, just like in those classic books, everyone around her becomes a potential suspect.

Rufus Sewell will star as a former Belgian police detective pulled into a mysterious investigation. The character is inspired by Agatha Christie’s iconic detective, Hercule Poirot. Nicole Elizabeth Berger and Oliver Trevena are also joining the cast, and more actors will be revealed shortly.

The play, Eleven Missing Days, is based on the book Agatha Christie and the Eleven Missing Days by Agatha Christie expert Jared Cade. Ernesto Foronda adapted the book for the stage, and Bertie Ellwood directed the production.

Naomi Ridley was cast to play Nan O’Dea, a character based on the woman Archie Christie, Agatha Christie’s husband, had an affair with. The story begins in 1926, when the affair became public, and Agatha Christie disappeared for eleven days.

This story is retold from the perspective of Nan O’Dea, the husband’s mistress. Through her eyes, we see how Nan and Agatha become unexpectedly connected and their lives become interwoven.

However, no more news on the series has materialised since it was announced nearly four years ago.
