The Nike x Procell Total 90 Heirloom Salutes NYC’s Underground With Liim

Summary

  • NYC rapper Liim fronts the Procell x Nike Total 90 Heirloom collaboration, a vintage-inspired tribute to the 2002 football boot featuring plaid uppers and brown patent leather.
  • Dropping May 16, 2026, the release marks the duo’s second partnership, leaning into Procell’s signature aged aesthetic and Lower East Side roots.

I’m really excited to see Liim, a rapper from NYC, partnering with Procell and Nike for their new Total 90 Heirloom launch! It’s cool they’re working together again after their first shoe release back in 2019. And the whole campaign feels so New York – especially the Lower East Side! Procell, that awesome vintage shop in the Bowery, helped with the design, and having a New Yorker like Liim as the face of it all just makes perfect sense.

After a sneak peek of a plaid couch covered in plastic wrap, Liim released photos of their new shoes. The design features a plaid upper with brown, shiny leather accents. Inspired by the “Air Zoom Total 90” football boot from 2002, this updated Total 90 is gaining popularity as football-inspired sneakers become more trendy. Unlike recent versions that have used bright colors like silver and yellow, Procell’s take on the shoe has a more classic, vintage feel with its subtle plaid and brown details.

Procell put a unique spin on the classic Nike Air Force 1 Low, creating a “Muslin-Desert Ore” version with a textured, off-white upper instead of the usual white. This vintage-inspired look fits perfectly with Procell’s style – a curated collection of old graphic tees, designer pieces, and rare retro finds – and has made the shop popular with artists like Frank Ocean.

The Nike x Procell Total 90 Heirloom will be released on May 16, 2026, at Procell (5 Delancy St, NY, NY) and select Nike retailers.
