Launched in 2022, Elden Ring has quickly become a classic game. It’s already received a popular expansion called Shadow of the Erdtree, a unique spin-off game Elden Ring: Nightreign, and even has a manga adaptation and a live-action movie in the works. Remarkably, the game hasn’t even been out for five years yet!
Elden Ring was FromSoftware’s first attempt at a truly open-world game with a flexible progression system, and many fans believe it’s their best work yet. Considering the quality of games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne, that’s high praise! Whether or not you think Elden Ring deserves that title, it’s undeniably been a huge hit, so it’s no surprise FromSoftware is planning to build on that success.
Currently, a new version of Elden Ring, called Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, is being developed. This edition will include extra content and, for the first time, will be available on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Although there’s no official release date yet, a retailer may have accidentally revealed it.
A listing for a new version of Elden Ring, called the ‘Tarnished Edition,’ recently appeared on the website of Canadian retailer PNP Games. Customers can currently pre-order it, with a listed release date of July 10, 2026, and a price of $80.99. Interestingly, it seems this edition will only be available as a digital game key. As of now, the listing is still live, and it’s unclear how Bandai Namco will respond to this potential early reveal.
So, they’re releasing Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, and it’s awesome! It’s going to include the full game and the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, which is huge. Plus, they’re adding new armor and ways to customize my character and even Torrent! But the best part? Two new starting classes – the Knight of Ides and the Heavy Knight. Honestly, that’s enough to get me to start a brand new playthrough, I’m already hooked!
