The manga is gaining popularity again, and everything seems to be falling into place for the release of Chapter 105, which fans have been eagerly anticipating.
The official Dragon Ball website recently announced that this year’s Goku Day, celebrated on May 9th, focused on the Dragon Ball Super manga. As part of the 40th anniversary celebration of the Dragon Ball franchise, fans are being asked to vote for their favorite cover art from the Dragon Ball Super manga volumes.
Toyotarou himself will announce the poll results in a livestream, making this a big event for fans eagerly awaiting his next manga chapter.
Dragon Ball Super Manga Is Back in the Spotlight With New V-Jump Issue
As we shared on May 9th, fans can now vote in a special Dragon Ball Super poll! You’re invited to choose your favorite pairing of front and back cover art from the first 24 volumes of the manga. Voting is open until May 31st, and the winning combinations will be announced in August.
The official Dragon Ball website announced that Toyotarou will reveal the latest news in a special edition of their weekly video update, which comes out every Monday (Japan time). But since the next issue of V-Jump magazine is expected around June 20th, fans might find out about the manga’s future even sooner!
The official Dragon Ball website suggests the winning fan-created cover art could become something extra special. They’ve announced that Toyotarou will create an even more detailed version of the winning illustration!
Toyotarou has expressed hope that the manga might return soon, responding to fan anticipation. He posted on X asking fans to “Please vote for us,” following a previous statement that “Everything is for the return of the series.”
It’s great to see Toyotarou getting more involved with the current direction of Dragon Ball Super, particularly since the anime is about to feature the Moro Saga, which he created for the manga.
A recent poll about the Dragon Ball Super manga is generating excitement among fans eagerly awaiting its return. Historically, major announcements for Dragon Ball Super have coincided with increased coverage in V-Jump magazine. The February issue of V-Jump (released in December 2025) featured the manga, and now it’s clear this was a signal that the Dragon Ball Super anime would be continuing after the Genkidamatsuri event in late January.
The new anime remake of Dragon Ball Super is coming in October, but there’s still no confirmed release date for the Galactic Patrol Arc. With these releases still quite a ways off, it’s likely that Dragon Ball is preparing for a big manga announcement soon, potentially around summer 2026.
