SHIFT UP’s first quarter 2026 financial report confirmed the company will share details about the next Stellar Blade game and a new action RPG called Project Spirits this year. Both the Stellar Blade sequel and new games developed by UNBOUND, a studio led by Shinji Mikami, will be published directly by SHIFT UP.
SHIFT UP is expanding its game development with a stronger focus on original games and improved business operations. The recent acquisition of UNBOUND has added multiple projects for PC and consoles, including games developed entirely by SHIFT UP. The company also reports that its popular game, Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, is performing well and building excitement for its upcoming fourth anniversary.
SHIFT UP aims to launch both a sequel to Stellar Blade and a new action RPG called Project Spirits by 2027. These games are part of a larger plan to grow their popular franchises, including Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, and to expand the Stellar Blade universe. SHIFT UP hopes to attract new players and build excitement for the future of the Stellar Blade series.
You can now play Stellar Blade on PlayStation 5 and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. A Complete Edition is also available, which includes the game itself, extra content inspired by NieR: Automata and Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, a code for a Stellar Blade costume in the Goddess of Victory: NIKKE mobile game, cosmetic items for your drone, and a special outfit for the character Eve.
