What happens in the preview pages?

On the preview page, Marcy and Princess Bubblegum are making new music together, following a sweet moment. It’s then revealed that Princess Bubblegum secretly made a mixtape for Marceline, filled with songs reflecting their history, that she’s never shared before.

The music triggers memories of the past for them, but their relationship has had its share of difficulties. Marcy tends to overreact, and in this case, she gets upset remembering what she believed was a disastrous date. However, PB remembers things differently.

Writer Rosie Knight shared that growing up, Adventure Time and its characters – BMO, Finn, Jake, Marceline, and Princess Bubblegum – helped her through difficult times with loved ones.
