Stone Island’s SS26 Range Is a Technical Voyage in Fabric Innovation

Summary

  • Stone Island SS26 explores navigation and sailing through technical indigo-dyed anoraks and ECONYL® overshirts
  • Key innovations include water-reactive camouflage swim shorts and marbled “marmo” corrosion finishes
  • The lineup emphasizes precision engineering and functional integrity along the Ligurian coast

Stone Island’s new Spring/Summer 2026 collection draws inspiration from the world of sailing and navigation, using the compass as a central theme. The collection was photographed on a sailboat along the Italian coast and features clothing designed to withstand the elements – wind, salt water, and bright sunlight – before shifting to reflect the textures of the shore. This reflects Stone Island’s continued focus on ideas of direction, motion, and adapting to change, which are fundamental to how the brand designs its clothes.

A key piece is the Hollow Fibre Nylon Indigo‑TC + Marmo Corrosion Anorak. It’s made with lightweight, hollow fibres and uniquely dyed using a special indigo process. After dyeing, the jacket is washed with enzymes and given a ‘marmo’ treatment, creating a distinctive, marbled look with rich color variation.

I’m really excited about a couple of their pieces! There are these amazing swim shorts – they look faded camo until they get wet, and then the pattern actually appears! And this overshirt is incredible; it’s made from recycled nylon, and they used a special dyeing process to give it this cool, shimmery, iridescent look. It’s seriously next level.

You can see the official campaign photos in the gallery. The new collection will be sold at Stone Island stores and on their website.
