Next month, items from Matthew Perry’s personal collection—including keepsakes from “Friends,” artwork, and other treasured belongings—will be auctioned off, almost three years after his passing at the age of 54.
Heritage Auctions will be selling items from the collection of the late actor Matthew Perry, and all the money raised will go to the Matthew Perry Foundation. This nonprofit helps people struggling with addiction and works to reduce the shame associated with substance use disorder.
Fans can get a first look at items from the estate of actor Matthew Perry starting May 18th at Heritage Auctions in Beverly Hills, with the official auction beginning June 5th. Interested buyers can also place early bids. The collection features a lot of “Friends” memorabilia, including artwork, magazines, and scripts signed by the cast. Currently, a signed script from the first episode of “Friends” is being bid on for $3,600.
Paintings of Matthew Perry, along with his 1995 Screen Actors Guild Award (which he won with the cast of the TV comedy Friends), and certificates from his three award nominations, are now available for purchase. Perry was best known for playing the funny character Chandler Bing on the popular NBC sitcom Friends, which ran from 1994 to 2004. He starred with Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, and Jennifer Aniston.

Prosecutors asked the judge to sentence the woman who supplied the drugs that led to Matthew Perry’s death to 15 years in prison. She was in court Wednesday to hear what the judge decided.
Perry often expressed his passion for Batman online, playfully referring to himself as “Mattman.” His deep love for the character is also evident in the extensive collection of Batman-themed art, furniture, and collectibles that are being auctioned off.
The auction features a personal collection of art and vintage movie posters from the actor and author, including pieces by Banksy and Pablo Picasso, and a signed “It’s a Wonderful Life” poster from James Stewart. Other items up for sale include sports equipment, a Nintendo GameCube, accessories, jewelry, and a black wallet. You can find a complete list of everything being auctioned on the Heritage Auctions website.
According to Lisa Kasteler Calio, CEO of the Matthew Perry Foundation, the foundation advocates for treating addiction with understanding and proven methods, rather than shame and secrecy. The recent auction will help fund the foundation’s efforts to make effective treatment more widely available and reduce the stigma surrounding addiction, ensuring those struggling with the disease receive support.
Matthew Perry, known for his openness about battling addiction, died on October 28, 2023, due to the effects of ketamine. Authorities determined the drug caused his death. Jasveen Sangha, who supplied the ketamine, was recently sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges including maintaining a drug-related location and distributing ketamine, with one charge specifically related to causing Perry’s death.
