Netflix has shared a sneak peek trailer for its new documentary series, Kylie, which tells the story of singer Kylie Minogue. It covers everything from her early acting roles on Neighbours to her rise to international pop stardom.
So, I just found out the new docuseries – it’s directed by Michael Harte and made by the same people who did the Beckham series on Netflix – is coming out on May 20th. I’m already marking my calendar!
I’m so excited about this new documentary, Kylie! It’s being described as really personal and in-depth – a three-part look at Kylie’s journey from the beginning. They’re using old footage and interviews with people who’ve known her for ages, like her sister Dannii Minogue, Nick Cave, Jason Donovan from Neighbours, and the famous producer Pete Waterman. It sounds like it’s going to be amazing to see all that history and hear from the people who were there!

The trailer shows Kylie talking about her breast cancer diagnosis at age 36, which sadly meant she had to cancel her performance at Glastonbury and the rest of her 2005 tour. After 14 years of treatment and recovery, she finally made her Glastonbury debut in 2019, following the release of her greatest hits album, Step Back in Time: The Definitive Collection.
In the trailer, Kylie’s sister, Dannii, recalls the frightening moment Kylie learned she had cancer, sharing, “We weren’t sure if she would ever recover.”
“I just wanted to be with my sister,” Dannii continued. “Music kept us going.”
What to Read Next

The documentary will give viewers a personal glimpse into Kylie’s life, showing what she’s really like beyond what’s reported in the news and her success in music.
The film uses home movies, personal photos, and interviews with Kylie to reveal the person behind her music. It also explores how she’s handled intense public attention, personal tragedies, and health challenges with strength and dignity, gaining admiration from people both inside and outside her fanbase.

Kylie released her album Tension in 2023, followed by Tension II in 2024. The singles ‘Padam Padam’ and ‘Lights Camera Action’ previewed each album, building excitement for their release.
The singer recently appeared in six episodes of the Netflix series The Residence. In the show, she plays a character based on herself, performing at a White House state dinner for an Australian delegation.
Kylie releases on Netflix on 20 May.
Okay, gamers, listen up! There’s a new magazine out called ‘Living Legends,’ and it’s a 100-page, full-color tribute to the legend himself, Sir David Attenborough! I just heard you can grab a copy at any newsstand or order it online. Definitely checking this one out!
