Downton Abbey’s Matthew Goode lands next movie role in true story drama

Matthew Goode, known for his role in Downton Abbey, will star in the upcoming independent film Hal. The movie is based on a true story and comes from Mark Williams, the creator of the popular series Ozark.

The movie follows Hal Donaldson, a journalist who sees global humanitarian problems up close. He comes to believe he needs to do more than just report on them – he wants to actively fight against world inequality.

In 1994, he established Convoy of Hope, a nonprofit that delivers food, essential supplies, and disaster relief worldwide. They’ve responded to major crises like Hurricane Katrina and the Haiti Earthquake, and many others.

The movie has already revealed many of its stars, including Ernie Hudson from Ghostbusters, Emma Roberts known for American Horror Story, Leslie Bibb who appeared in season 3 of The White Lotus, and Alexander Ludwig from Vikings, who will play Donaldson.

Deadline has just announced several new actors joining the cast, including Tom Goode, known for his roles in Downton Abbey and Watchmen, who will play Donaldson’s father.

Production for the film took place between Atlanta and Colombia, and it is now in post.

Goode is working on several projects, including the upcoming period drama The Custom of the Country, where he’ll star alongside Sydney Sweeney and other well-known actors. This announcement was made earlier in the year.

The story centers on Undine Spragg, a highly driven woman from the Midwest, and her efforts to succeed in New York City’s high society.

Okay, so I just read the description for this game, and it sounds awesome! You play as Undine, who’s not afraid to shake things up and go against the grain. She’s got a lot of charm and works incredibly hard, and basically just pushes through anything to reach her goals. It looks like she’s going to face a lot of resistance from powerful people, and isn’t shy about causing a little trouble, but eventually things start falling into place with both love and success!

Hal does not currently have a release date.
