Evanescia is a powerful new 5-Star character in Honkai: Star Rail specializing in Physical damage. She’s a DPS character who excels at dealing physical damage while also supporting the team by lowering enemies’ defense. Evanescia can further increase her own damage output through buffs to her Critical Rate and RES PEN.

Her gameplay focuses on switching between Energy and Certified Banger to deal increased damage and use her ultimate ability often. Below is a breakdown of her abilities, including her Skill, Ultimate, Talents, Elation Skill, Techniques, and Passive Skills.

Skill

This attack deals 150% of Evanescia’s attack power as Physical Damage to all enemies and also earns 10 Punchline points.

Ultimate

She attacks all enemies for 160% of her attack power as Physical Damage. She also strikes a single random enemy five times with Physical Damage.

Talent

The key to Evanescia’s power lies in how she builds up her Elation. She earns Elation equal to 20% of her critical damage. She also has a unique system where gaining Energy automatically gives her the same amount of ‘Certified Banger,’ and gaining ‘Certified Banger’ gives her the same amount of Energy. This allows her to potentially accumulate up to 100 points through this cycle.

She gathers 240 Energy, then uses it, triggering a follow-up attack from her Master Fox and restoring 10 Energy. If she has Certified Banger, her Skill and Ultimate abilities deal extra damage based on her attack power. Additionally, whenever her Ultimate deals this extra damage, Master Fox will also launch a follow-up attack.

Elation Skill

Deals Physical Elation DMG to all enemies and additionally gains 5 points of Certified Banger.

When the wearer’s Max Energy is greater than 120, for every 10 points of Max Energy that exceeds this amount, further increases Energy Regeneration Rate by 0.3%, up to a maximum of 360 points of excess Max Energy taken into account. When the wearer uses an Elation Skill, increases the DMG received by enemy targets by 15.0% for 2 turns. Effects of the same type cannot be stacked. Today’s Good Luck *(4)**	Increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 12%. When the wearer uses an Elation Skill, increases Elation by 12%, stacking up to 2 times. It’s a 4-star light cone, but a good alternative light cone for her. It increases her crit rate and increases her Elation damage, which will help her to deal more damage.
Mushy Shroomy’s Adventures *(4)**	Increases the wearer’s Elation by 12%. When the wearer uses an Elation Skill, increases Elation DMG taken by all enemies by 6% for 2 turn(s). Another great 4-star alternative for her that increases the wearer’s Elation and enemies take higher Elation damage.

Best Team Comps for Evanescia in Honkai: Star Rail

Evanescia/ Huohuo/ Yao Guang/ Elation Trailblazer

In this team, Evanescia is our primary damage dealer. Huohuo keeps everyone alive and also boosts energy and attack power, which is crucial for the team’s success. Trailblazer builds up a special attack, adds critical damage, and enhances the team’s overall damage output.
