It looks like it’s going to have a massive opening weekend – potentially even breaking the record set by the N.W.A. biopic back in 2015. The studio is predicting it could earn around $70 million, which would definitely make it a blockbuster!

According to Adam Fogelson, head of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, Michael Jackson remains one of history’s most influential artists, with a lasting impact on music, fashion, dance, film, and the business world.

He explained that everything combined really resonated with people of all ages.

The new movie “Michael,” featuring Jaafar Jackson – nephew of the iconic pop star – will be released in 3,900 theaters across the country this Friday.
