MAFS star turned influencer Jules Robinson hits back after she is accused of not spending any time with her children in scathing post

Jules Robinson strongly defended herself after someone claimed she doesn’t spend enough time with her sons.

Married At First Sight alum, 44, and her husband Cameron Merchant, whom she met on the show, are parents to five-year-old Ollie and one-year-old Carter.

Since finding success as a businesswoman and social media influencer after appearing on Nine, she’s unfortunately received criticism from one follower regarding her parenting.

On Thursday, Jules shared a screenshot of a mean-spirited DM she recently received on Instagram.

Someone commented on a photo she shared of herself out at an event, asking if she ever spends time with her kids.

Jules publicly shared a screenshot of a direct message she received, hiding the sender’s username and adding an eye-rolling emoji.

She posted a video of herself giving the camera a disapproving glance, explaining it was how she reacted to criticism of her personal decisions.

Okay, so everyone thought Jules made that video because of some awful comment someone left about how she parents? She totally set the record straight – it wasn’t about them at all! It had nothing to do with that person, which is amazing, honestly. I was so worried it was all fueled by negativity, but she said it wasn’t, and I’m so relieved!

She explained to her followers on Friday that the reel she posted yesterday wasn’t created as a reply to a message she’d received.

Don’t worry, I’m pretty resilient. I’ve dealt with much tougher things. I just wanted to emphasize my point.

‘How, like, you can’t win, so you’ve just got to make your own manual and do it your own way.’

Jules is used to receiving negative comments online. She recently shared how she was surprisingly criticized for the dress she wore to the Melbourne Cup last year.

The founder of Figur wore a pink and green striped dress from Pasduchas, but it was unfortunately a bit too small for her.

People criticized the reality TV star’s appearance online, and Jules told the Daily Mail in December that the negativity felt like the harsh scrutiny reserved for celebrities at a major event like the Oscars.

How much should influencers share about their personal lives before facing public criticism?

What’s your view?

She explained that she hadn’t planned her outfit in advance. Instead, it was flown to Melbourne, and she tried it on for the very first time when she arrived there.

Honestly, sometimes people make such a fuss! It was just a dress, just one day – nothing dramatic happened, and certainly no one was harmed. I know it’s easy to get caught up in things, but I wish people would just let it go. And yes, I’ll admit, I wasn’t entirely comfortable, but it wasn’t a crisis!

It didn’t fit, and I realized I needed to change my attitude. I decided to embrace self-assurance and make the most of the day, regardless.

It didn’t feel like a big deal to me – it was just a dress, just one day. It’s the Melbourne Cup, after all, not some huge, glamorous event like the Oscars.

Jules jokingly called the dress ‘the gift that keeps on giving,’ explaining that the company, Pasduchas, completely sold out of all their initial orders after the negative reaction it received.
