Ciara Miller and Maura Higgins will be among the stars competing for the Mirrorball Trophy.
Reality TV stars Miller (from “Summer House”) and Higgins (from “The Traitors”) are the first celebrities confirmed to compete on Season 35 of “Dancing With the Stars.” Disney revealed the new season’s lineup Wednesday at an event in Los Angeles. Both Miller and Higgins recently experienced public betrayals by people they trusted on their respective shows.
Just weeks after news broke that her former boyfriend and “Summer House” co-star, West Wilson, is dating her friend Amanda Batula, Miller has announced she’s joining “Dancing With the Stars.” She hinted at the news on Instagram with a video outlining her goals for 2026, which included self-care, taking chances, and appearing on the show.

Here’s a breakdown of the relationship between ‘Summer House’ stars Amanda Batula and West Wilson, including details about how their romance became public and the surrounding drama.
Faith Higgins first became well-known on “Love Island” in 2019. More recently, she competed on “The Traitors,” where she was unexpectedly eliminated in the final round by a close friend and fellow contestant, Rob Rausch. After the loss, Higgins posted a video on Instagram asking her followers to send her prayers.
“Get me on that dance floor. I want to win the trophy,” Higgins said. “I’ve manifested this.”
Higgins told reporters at the Get Real House event that Mark Ballas is her dream partner.
The news follows a very successful season of “Dancing with the Stars,” which received more fan votes than ever before. In a November interview with The Times, the show’s executive producer, Conrad Green, explained that the increase in viewers was likely due to the show bringing people together to watch as a group.

As ‘Dancing With the Stars’ approaches its season 34 finale on Tuesday, executive producer Conrad Green discusses the show’s recent ratings success and its transformation over the past two decades.
We’ve been focused on maintaining our current viewers while also attracting a younger audience, specifically those aged 18 to 30. Social media plays a role in that, but so does the desire for shared TV experiences. People used to have that with shows like ‘American Idol’ and ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ but it’s harder to find that on TV now, as shows aren’t as conducive to watching together.
At the event, Disney revealed a new competition series called “Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro.” Hosted by Robert Irwin, who recently won Season 34 of “DWTS,” the show will follow 12 talented young dancers as they live together and compete for a chance to become professional dancers on Season 35 of “Dancing with the Stars.”
Professional dancer and three-time “Dancing with the Stars” winner Derek Ballas will host the new show with his mother, Shirley Ballas, who is also a former ballroom dancer. The series begins airing on ABC on July 13th.
