The acclaimed horror series Silent Hill has made a strong return, looking better than ever. While Resident Evil has often been more prominent recently, the release of Silent Hill F signaled a resurgence for Konami’s iconic franchise. That release was just the beginning – a brand new Silent Hill game has just launched, and it introduces the series’ newest main character.
The official manga for Silent Hill F has launched in Japan, thanks to Young Ace Up. Overseen by Ame Token, the first chapter is available to read online now. As the manga continues, it will diverge from the original video game storyline, offering a completely new and original ending. This new ending was written by Ryukishi07, so fans will need to follow the manga to find out how the story concludes.
The Silent Hill manga begins with beautiful full-color artwork. The first chapter introduces Hinako Shimizu, who players will recognize from the game, as she navigates daily life as a high school student in the town of Ebisugaoka. Something feels strange in the quiet countryside, and things quickly escalate when Hinako encounters a monster while spending time with her friends.
Silent Hill F Is Getting Yet Another Official Ending
The Silent Hill F manga is just beginning, with only one chapter released so far. Fans are already eager to see how the story ends, as it promises a new, official conclusion. This is a bit surprising considering Silent Hill F already has several different endings. In fact, the author Ryukishi07 has created five endings already, and the manga will introduce a sixth.
If you’ve played Silent Hill F, the different endings relate to Hinako figuring out who she really is – is she a human, or a fox spirit? The first time you play, you’ll see an ending where Hinako’s human side overcomes her fox side, which then reveals the whole game was a result of a mental breakdown. But if you play again, additional endings become unlocked.
The game features several different endings. In some, Hinako sacrifices her human side, fully embracing the fox spirit within. She can also choose to marry or reject Kotoyuki. The most satisfying ending sees Hinako reconcile her human and fox selves, allowing her to break the curse affecting Kotoyuki. And, true to the spirit of Silent Hill, there’s even a quirky ending involving UFOs if you seek it out.
A new ending is coming to Silent Hill F, and fans are already wondering how the story will conclude. Ryukishi07, the writer, is known for surprising twists, so it’s anyone’s guess what will happen. We’ll just have to wait and see how Silent Hill delivers this next chapter.
