Players of Where Winds Meet have been enjoying the free Hexi Expansion since it launched in early March, and now the game is nearing its conclusion. The final chapter, set in Qinchuan, will be released on April 29th (Pacific Time), and a new trailer offers a sneak peek at what’s to come.
Players will naturally want to discover the new areas added with the Hexi Expansion, which promised nearly 20 new sub-regions. Chapter 2: Liangzhou introduced a lot of new bosses, and the Heng Blade—a weapon designed for counter-attacking—provided a reliable way to balance the gameplay.
We’ll share more information soon about what’s coming to Qinchuan, including new things to do, story quests, and special events. Now that players have finished exploring Hexi, many are expecting the next major update to be the Imperial Palace.
An expansion is planned for release later this year, but details are scarce. We know it will involve thrilling escapes, a puppet-like character who could be a new boss, and the introduction of daggers as a weapon. Since it was first revealed last December at The Game Awards, a release date might be announced at Summer Game Fest on June 5th.
