Marie Osmond has shared her brother Alan Osmond’s final words to her prior to his death.

Alan Osmond, known for his fame with The Osmonds, died on Monday at 76 years old. His sister, Marie, 66, shared that he was aware his life was coming to an end.

He was looking forward to being reunited with one of his brothers who died last year.

She recalled his final words: “I’m so excited to be with Brother Wayne and serve as missionaries together, sharing the message of Jesus Christ with people who haven’t had a chance to hear about peace and hope.”

‘That’s my brother Alan!! I love you so very much and will miss you dearly,’ she shared.

Marie shared that she strangely felt her mother, Olive, would be there to greet Alan after he died, too.

She told me, with the same joy I felt when my child was born, that she felt about her own child’s return. It was as if she said, ‘Remember how thrilled you were? That’s exactly how I feel now,’

‘What a joyous reunion and rebirth that took place on the other side.’

And she noted that her brother was ‘happy’ when he passed. 

Marie shared that Alan felt a strong sense of duty to care for his younger brother as they both navigated the challenges of fame. He always felt responsible for looking after him.

She recalled that Alan became their leader when he was just twelve years old, and wondered how overwhelming it must have been for him to take on so much responsibility at such a young age.

He never once complained. He often said it felt like a meaningful purpose, a challenging but rewarding one that he truly enjoyed.

He did all of this for us, and for everyone here! But what I truly admired about my brother was his deep faith in God and his unwavering love for his family. Those were the most important things to him, always.

Marie’s brother, Donny, shared a tribute to Alan on Instagram, remembering him as someone who always looked out for and guided him.

Even as a child, he was always looking out for me, keeping me safe. He was my protector and mentor, someone who shouldered a lot of burdens so everyone else could thrive.

He continued, saying that Alan was a true leader who dedicated himself to building everything they achieved. He expressed deep gratitude for Alan’s sacrifices and the love he shared with everyone in their family, stating he could never fully repay his kindness.

Donny ended his message with a heartfelt goodbye, telling Alan, ‘I love you.’ He thanked Alan for his constant support and signed it ‘Brother Donny,’ expressing his affection and looking forward to seeing him again.
