Charlize Theron, 50, shows off very fit figure in NYC as she details grueling training for new action thriller

Charlize Theron showed off her toned physique in a fashionable outfit while in New York City on Wednesday, where she was promoting her new action movie, Apex.

The actress, age 50, recently shared her experience learning to rock climb during an appearance on the Today show. She had previously made a mild comment about actor Timothée Chalamet.

The actress talked about preparing for the part, mentioning she spent a month learning how to rock climb.

The host pointed out that this sport doesn’t allow for many mistakes. Unlike rock climbing, where a slip-up can have serious consequences, even a small error here can be a big problem.

Theron chuckled, saying, “Especially without a rope, huh?” He then added that he now had a lot of respect and admiration for climbers.

It’s an incredibly demanding sport, requiring dedication, strong willpower, mental strength, problem-solving skills, and physical fitness.

Theron has continued to perform her own stunts in films like The Old Guard 2 and Atomic Blonde.

‘That’s what is so wonderful about my business is you get to work with the best,’ the star said.

Stunt performers are truly amazing and dedicate themselves to their work. When I arrive on set, they’ve already thoroughly tested everything, ensuring it’s completely safe – and safety is my top priority.

Filming for the survival action thriller, which also stars Taron Egerton, took place in Australia.

Charlize Theron shared that she was very active during filming. She was climbing almost daily before moving to Australia, where she took up kayaking, which she described as a really intense workout.

I focused on getting incredibly strong because I did all the climbing you see in the movie – every mountain, and I did it all barefoot, using just my bare feet.

The actress from Monster revealed she hadn’t done any climbing before filming, but she really enjoyed learning for the movie.

According to IMDB, the movie Apex follows an adrenaline enthusiast who attempts to navigate a dangerous river and finds that something—or someone—else is hunting along with nature.

The project is set to drop on Netflix on April 24.

Theron recently took up rock climbing and has been openly sharing her fitness routine.

In an interview with Elle UK last year, the Academy Award-winning actor shared their enjoyment of both Pilates and yoga.

She further emphasized the importance of moving your body every day.

Staying mobile is even more important than staying fit as we age.

Theron emphasized that while diet is important, staying active and strengthening your core muscles are key. He’s found that being mindful of how you move becomes even more important as you age.

The actress shared with Red Magazine that she starts each day with healthy choices like juices, kale, and green salads.

I feel and look my best when I prioritize my health – eating well, getting enough sleep, and avoiding alcohol. It really makes a difference in my overall happiness, and I think people can see that.

Charlize Theron was spotted out and about in New York City just before her interview on the Today show on Wednesday.

The actress from Mad Max: Fury Road looked fit and toned in a tight, dark navy blue dress.

The outfit was stylish, with pretty ruffles along the bottom, and she finished the look with gray pumps.

Her short blonde locks were parted to the side, easily revealing a pair of flashy silver earrings.

A touch of blush highlighted her cheekbones, and a nude lip gloss completed the look.

Theron later brushed aside the rainy weather as she left the Today show in a different look.

She put on a leggy display wearing a white skirt as well as a semi-sheer top and comfy sneakers.

The actress, who was born in South Africa, carried a black purse as she went to her next location.

Theron is gearing up for a new movie release later this year, following her part in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film, The Odyssey, which will be in cinemas on July 17th.

The film also stars Matt Damon, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, and Lupita Nyong’o.

She explained on Today that she doesn’t feel much pressure because she only has a small role, and the cast is full of amazing actors.

The actress said she felt fortunate to have spent the past week with the group, calling it a lot of fun. She also mentioned learning that tickets were already sold out even before they finished filming.

She playfully admitted that realizing the stakes, she thought, “Oh no, I really need to make sure I don’t mess this up in the next three days!”
