More real-life horror stories are on the way, as Blumhouse’s Worst Ex Ever returns to Netflix.

This crime series is a continuation of the docuseries Worst Roommate Ever. While the original focused on scary roommate situations, this new season explores relationships that start well but quickly turn dangerous.

Season 2 of Worst Ex Ever, from producers Blumhouse Television and ITV America, will debut on Netflix May 6th.

The new trailer showcases four different stories of relationships that took a dangerous turn, including some cases people may already know from true crime coverage. One person shares the shock of discovering their partner had a criminal record, while another describes a terrifying threat made against their pet. A third individual recounts a harrowing experience where a knife was held to their throat. You can watch the complete trailer above.

The new episodes, as seen in the trailer, will continue to use animation to help tell the stories. Season 2 of Worst Ex Ever will reveal these new cases through interviews, bodycam footage, and animated recreations, all working together to vividly portray tales of betrayal, violence, and lies.

The series Worst Ex Ever keeps revealing shocking stories of terrible relationships and exes. After focusing on Ben Foster in its first season, upcoming episodes will investigate Wade Wilson, also known as the Handsome Devil Killer, and 90 Day Fiancé alum Geoffrey Paschel. Each story will be told over four one-hour episodes.

The newest part of this series is directed by Cynthia Childs, who also acts as an executive producer with Jason Blum, Gretchen Palek, and Jordana Hochman. Natalee Watts is a co-executive producer. The series will explore both new angles and revisit previously covered ground. It follows Wilson, who was previously featured in a documentary series on Paramount+, and Paschel, who made news due to his appearance on reality TV, after being convicted of domestic assault and kidnapping.

Season 1 of Worst Ex Ever filmed in locations like Queens and Dublin, and followed a marriage that crumbled as a woman discovered her husband’s hidden behaviors and motives. But that was just the beginning—the season culminated in the shocking revelation of a sinister murder plot that rocked an entire community.
