Kerry Katona, 45, says she looks and talks differently after suffering a suspected stroke while battling severe health anxiety

Kerry Katona has shared an update on her health after a possible stroke, saying it’s affected her appearance and speech.

Atomic Kitten’s Liz McClarnon, 45, recently shared a frightening health experience, saying she’s never felt so scared in her life.

She became terrified for her health when she noticed she couldn’t smile normally while watching her 24-year-old daughter, Molly, perform in a play in London.

Kerry remembered her 19-year-old daughter, Heidi, pointing out a problem with her face. This prompted a quick trip to the hospital, where doctors immediately started treating it as a stroke.

Although doctors eventually determined it wasn’t a stroke, but rather caused by stress, the mother of five says she continues to experience lingering effects.

In her latest column, she acknowledged that her speech and appearance have changed since her possible stroke, but reassured readers that she’s actually doing much better, though her symptoms still come and go.

Kerry shared that the experience brought back her health anxiety, and she found it difficult to avoid feeling very anxious when reading people’s comments.

I really need to stop worrying about my health,” she explained. “I tend to imagine I have every illness going, and it’s probably exhausting for my family. I think they’re all tired of it by now.

I struggle with health anxiety, and researching symptoms online always makes me extremely panicked. Learning about all the possible things that could be wrong really triggers my anxiety.

Kerry shared details of a frightening experience with The Mirror, explaining that she immediately messaged all her children – Molly, Lilly (23), Heidi, Max (18), and Dylan-Jorge (12) – with the fear that she might lose the ability to communicate with them forever.

She was deeply frightened by the experience. She immediately texted her children to tell them she loved them, saying it was the most scared she’d ever been.

A stroke happens when blood supply to the brain is blocked or a blood vessel in the brain breaks. This stops brain cells from getting oxygen, causing them to die. It’s a serious medical emergency.

It requires immediate emergency medical attention to prevent permanent damage or death.

Kerry remembered feeling sick all day. During the show, Heidi noticed something was wrong and quickly took her to a doctor.

When she found out a doctor wouldn’t be available for four hours, the singer decided to take a taxi to St Thomas’ Hospital instead.

When I arrived at the hospital, doctors suspected I was having a stroke. I was rushed by ambulance from St Thomas’ to King’s College Hospital, with flashing lights. While being transported, my face began to droop and my speech became slurred.

Just an hour ago, I was enjoying watching our daughter, Molly, in a play, and now I’m in the hospital being treated for a stroke. It’s shocking how suddenly life can change.

I was so worried when Kerry started having trouble speaking clearly and her face just wasn’t moving like it used to. She had to go through a lot of tests and scans, like CT scans, to try and figure out what was causing it. It was a really scary time, and we were all just hoping they could find answers.

Doctors determined she hadn’t had a stroke, but scans revealed a damaged area in her brain. This damage, likely caused by stress, is preventing signals from reaching her face.

The TV personality noticed a change in the way she speaks, and she’s also been experiencing sharp, shooting pains in her head.

Doctors believe Kerry will regain her ability to move and speak with speech therapy and facial exercises, but she admitted to feeling increasingly anxious about the process.
