Ben Shephard issues an apology as Jeremy Clarkson’s girlfriend Lisa Hogan accidentally swears live on This Morning

Lisa Hogan, Jeremy Clarkson’s partner, appeared on live television for the first time on Tuesday, but quickly had to apologize for using bad language.

Fifty-one-year-old Lisa was a guest on This Morning to discuss her new ITV dating show, “Farming for Love,” which focuses on finding romance for farmers.

The interview began awkwardly when Ben Shephard and Cat Deely, hosts of This Morning, questioned Lisa about her experience working with Jeremy Clarkson on his popular show, Clarkson’s Farm.

Looking around at Lisa’s workspace, Cat commented with a smile, “It smells a lot nicer in here, doesn’t it?”

Lisa responded: ‘Yes it does but the smell of silage is quite good.’

Ben jokingly asked if she had developed a fondness for the smell of silage, or if that was just something she was already like.

Lisa explained that she’s always felt connected to rural life and enjoys the scent of being outside. She then quickly apologized for saying ‘pig manure,’ covering her mouth in surprise.

Ben quickly stepped in to apologize to anyone who might be upset after Lisa confessed it was her first time trying something new.

I’m so excited! Lisa is returning to TV with a fascinating new show. She’ll be following British farmers as they search for someone special – a partner to share their lives and work on the farm with. It’s going to be brilliant!

This new show offers a look at both modern dating and the life of a British farmer today. It’s a continuation of the popular reality series, Farmer Wants a Wife, which has been broadcast in the UK and internationally.

Lisa explained to ITV that farming, like any good relationship, demands strength, understanding, and the ability to persevere through challenges.

The best thing about Farming for Love is its authenticity. You can’t put on airs when you’re living and working on a farm, and that creates a really genuine way for people to connect – a way that’s proven successful internationally.

‘I am really looking forward to leading this flock in their search for romance.’

Lisa is no stranger to the world of farming and works with Jeremy on his famous Diddly Squat Farm.

Jeremy Clarkson, the former host of Top Gear, has been the face of the Prime Video show Clarkson’s Farm since it began in 2021, and his wife, Lisa, often appears on the program as well.

Last year, Lisa and Jeremy made news after Lisa playfully teased Jeremy about his personal life during a particularly memorable scene on Clarkson’s Farm involving pig breeding.

Last May’s episode featured the Top Gear host as he started breeding pigs.

Jeremy led a wild boar onto the farm and, gesturing towards a fenced-in area, asked his assistant Harriet, ‘Do you think these are the sows?’

The new farmhand replied, ‘Look at their bums and you can see the little clitoris.’

‘You can’t! They don’t have clitoris!’ Jeremy exclaimed. ‘I promise you, they do,’ Harriet said.

Jeremy expressed his surprise while speaking to the camera, saying, ‘I just learned that pigs have clitorises, and it’s something I’ve never known in all my 63 years!’ He seemed genuinely baffled by the discovery.

‘He says you can’t see it,’ Harriet told Jeremy’s girlfriend, Lisa.

‘Jesus, he can’t find it either, I’ll tell you,’ Lisa quipped.

Okay, let me tell you, things got real awkward at dinner the other night. I was chatting with a friend, Jeremy, and honestly, I couldn’t believe the question that came out of my mouth. It was something along the lines of, ‘Seriously, you’ve never seen one?’ and then I quickly followed it up with, ‘Have you honestly never come across one?’ We all just burst out laughing – it was totally unexpected and a bit shocking, but definitely a memorable moment!
