Tim Leissner, who is separated from Kimora Lee Simmons, has officially filed for divorce after about four years apart.
A 56-year-old finance executive filed for divorce, submitting court documents in Los Angeles on February 4th. The documents, reviewed by the Daily Mail, cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for ending his 12-year marriage to a 50-year-old woman named Simmons.
The banker, originally from Germany and married to Simmons since March 2014, is requesting the court order Simmons to provide him with financial support and prevent her from accessing his funds.

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Simmons for further comment on the story.
The Baby Phat entrepreneur and Leissner are parents to son Wolfe Lee Leissner, 11.
Kimora Lee Simmons, originally from St. Louis, has five children. She has two daughters, Ming, 25, and Aoki, 23, with her ex-husband Russell Simmons. She also has a son, Kenzo, 16, with ex-boyfriend Djimon Hounsou, and a 13-year-old son, Gary, whom she adopted in 2020.

Following accusations of sexual misconduct from at least 15 women during the height of the MeToo movement in late 2017, the career of the Def Jam co-founder has significantly declined. He maintains his innocence and denies all claims.
Despite a public relations campaign using the hashtag #NotMe, he was unable to repair the damage to his reputation caused by the accusations of sexual misconduct.

Just under a month after it began, Russell Simmons ended the campaign and moved to Bali, Indonesia later that year.
In 2024, Simmons responded to online criticism aimed at celebrities like Usher, Taraji P. Henson, and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who had previously visited him while he was abroad. The criticism stemmed from those celebrities continuing to associate with him after he came under scrutiny.
