Devil Wears Prada fans shocked to learn that Stanley Tucci, 65, is married to co-star Emily Blunt’s sister, 44, as they ask ‘who is the stunning woman next to him?’ at sequel’s premiere

People were thrilled to learn about Stanley Tucci’s romantic connection to the movie ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ after the premiere of its follow-up film on Monday night.

I was so excited to see Paul Stanley at the New York premiere! He’s perfect as Nigel again in the new film, and it was lovely to see him with his wife, Felicity Blunt. Of course, Emily Blunt was there too, looking amazing with her husband, John Krasinski. What a fantastic group!

I was scrolling through pictures from the event last night and kept seeing everyone ask, ‘Who is that gorgeous woman with Stanley Tucci?’ It was so funny to then find out she’s actually Emily Blunt’s sister! I was genuinely shocked, and so were a lot of other people online, apparently.

The American actor has been married to Felicity, age 44, since 2012. They first met at Emily’s wedding in 2010. Emily, now 43, had invited 65-year-old Stanley after becoming good friends with him while working together on the original Devil Wears Prada film in 2006.

One fan exclaimed, “I can’t believe I didn’t know this! I love it!” Another agreed, saying, “That’s really sweet and romantic!”

Felicity is a highly accomplished literary agent with a 20-year career, having worked with iconic authors like Jilly Cooper and also contributed her skills to her husband’s cookbooks.

At Monday night’s premiere the foursome looked stunning. 

Felicity turned heads in a striking black tuxedo dress, walking hand-in-hand with a sharply dressed Stanley and her sister Emily, who wore a stunning Schiaparelli couture gown.

Oh my gosh, you guys, I was at the premiere, and Stanley just said the sweetest thing! He told Entertainment Tonight that getting to work with his sister-in-law again was seriously the best part of being back on the Devil Wears Prada set. I literally melted! It’s just so lovely to see them together, and he said it! I’m obsessed!

‘I suppose being with Emily,’ he replied when asked what made him the ‘most nostalgic’.

It’s funny to think back. She was just 22 when we first met, and now my oldest kids – my children with my late wife – are 24 and 26. She’s their aunt, which… well, it really hits me when I think about it, you know?

Stanley’s first wife, Kathryn, passed away from breast cancer in 2009 at the young age of 47. She is the mother of his twins, Isabel and Nicolo, who are now 26, and his daughter Camilla, 24.

He and Felicity got married in 2012 and now live in London with their two children, 11-year-old Matteo and 8-year-old Emilia.

Let’s be real, dealing with past loss is never easy, and it definitely impacted my relationship. Losing Kathryn was incredibly difficult, and it honestly cast a shadow over my engagement and even into my marriage with Felicity. It took time to navigate those feelings and build a strong foundation with my wife.

He admitted in 2015 that taking vacations was initially very difficult, especially with Felicity. He described feeling intensely guilty, saying it was a horrible feeling that never really went away.

He admitted he’d thought about ending his relationship with his literary agent, Felicity, due to their significant age difference – he’s 21 years older than her.

I hesitated to commit to the relationship, and I repeatedly considered ending things because of the age difference. I didn’t want to feel self-conscious about getting older.

‘But I knew this was an incredibly special person,’ he told Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs in 2023.

In 2017, while his wife Felicity was pregnant with their daughter Emilia, Stanley faced a personal battle with oral cancer, which profoundly shifted his outlook on life.

He described it as a deeply difficult period, saying it brought him a sense of humanity. Even after experiencing the loss of Kate and several friends to cancer, he hadn’t fully confronted his own mortality. Now, he feels he finally understands it.
