eFootball 2026 Show Time FC Barcelona (Araujo, Kounde, Balde): Review, Best Progression Builds, and Skills

eFootball 2026 has released a new FC Barcelona-themed pack called ‘Show Time,’ featuring defenders Ronald Araújo, Jules Koundé, and Alejandro Balde. It’s great to see packs focusing on defense, as getting all three of these players would significantly strengthen any team’s back line.

These three new cards are already popular with players, and the ‘Show Time’ boost adds even more hype. However, it’s important to look beyond the names and see how well they actually play, what the best team builds are, and ultimately, if this pack is worth spending your in-game currency on, or if you should just pass it by.

eFootball 2026 Show Time FC Barcelona players

Ronald Araújo

  • Position: CB
  • Playing Style: Destroyer
  • Show Time Skill: Long Reach Tackle and Aerial Fort

Araújo is back, and many fans will be thrilled to see him in this new Show Time package. He’s a physically imposing defender, and now with the combination of Long Reach Tackle and Aerial Fort, he has everything you’d want in a top cornerback.

He’s a well-known player with a clear style: he quickly challenges opponents, often winning possession early on, and uses his size to outmuscle most attackers. His height is a major advantage, particularly when competing for headers, and a new ability should make him even better at defending crosses and winning aerial battles.

This version feels like a significant improvement over his previous one, particularly when it comes to defense. The new Long Reach Tackle completely changes how he plays defense, making it much easier to handle fast opponents.

Keep in mind that playing as the Destroyer requires a lot of energy. He’s constantly moving and applying pressure, which can be tiring later in matches. Also, unlike previous versions that were always in their best form, this card is a ‘Show Time’ card and will often be in a weaker form.

Jules Koundé

  • Position: RB
  • Playing Style: Defensive Full-back
  • Show Time Skill: Fortress and Visionary Pass

Koundé is a dependable and skilled fullback. His stats back up his performance, and he consistently looks solid on the field. He’s quick, wins his challenges, and rarely makes mistakes. I especially appreciate this player card because it provides excellent stamina, making him a great engine for your team.

To be honest, the most puzzling part of this build is the Show Time abilities. Fortress is a good choice, but combining it with Visionary Pass on a running back who’s meant to be defensive just doesn’t seem to fit. Since you’re not relying on him to control the game, those skills don’t really add much benefit.

He might have been more successful as a cornerback. When trained for that position, he shows a lot of potential and could reach a rating of 107, but his skills as a strong safety hold him back.

Alejandro Balde

  • Position: LB
  • Playing Style: Offensive Wingback
  • Show Time Skill: Acceleration Burst and Edged Crossing

Balde is a very fast player, and that’s immediately noticeable. He consistently runs up and down the wing with excellent stamina, meaning he won’t tire easily. His quick acceleration is a real asset.

He consistently makes good runs to get into crossing positions, which is valuable given how effective crosses from wide areas have become. While he’s skilled with the ball, there’s room for improvement. His dribbling is good, but his long legs sometimes make it difficult to maintain close control of the ball.

He’s not as strong with his weaker foot, which makes crossing the ball from the opposite side a challenge. His passing could also be better. Since modern football increasingly relies on fullbacks who are good passers, he might struggle to keep up unless this aspect of his game is developed.
