Penelope Disick, 13, makes rare social media appearance with cousin North West, 12, in Coachella post

She’s one of the most reclusive members of the Kardashian–Jenner clan.

Kourtney Kardashian’s daughter, Penelope Disick, recently showed up in a rare social media post shared by her cousin, North West.

Thirteen-year-old Penelope took a photo with North West, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s twelve-year-old daughter, while at Coachella. The photo was included in a series North posted on TikTok showing what she did during the first weekend of the festival.

Kourtney Kardashian’s daughter, Penelope, seemed happy and relaxed, smiling softly and thoughtfully looking off into the distance.

North stood out with a casual, edgy style. She paired a white cropped tank top with the word ‘HOT’ on it, baggy acid-wash jeans, and a black belt worn loosely around her waist, just for looks.

North had long, wavy blue hair that fell to her waist. She completed her look with a black T-shirt featuring a metal design, black shorts, and several bracelets covered in studs and spikes.

North didn’t mention her cousin in her post, which instead showcased pictures of her friends enjoying the festival, meeting artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Lizzo, and Alex G.

Even though Penelope is sometimes seen with her cousin in photos, she generally keeps a low profile and isn’t often included in her mom Kourtney’s social media updates.

Last July, Kourtney Kardashian, the founder of Poosh, shared a special moment with her 215 million Instagram followers: celebrating her daughter’s thirteenth birthday. This was an unusual instance of her publicly acknowledging a personal event.

Kardashian shared that her daughter is 13 years old, and being a mother to her is the most rewarding experience of her life.

She motivates me to improve myself daily, and I can’t fully express how much happiness and love she adds to my life. She’s just the coolest!

Kardashian added on another post, ‘My heart is exploding with gratitude and love for her.’

She didn’t say exactly where they went for Penelope’s birthday, but the pictures looked like they were taken at the beautiful Lake Como in Italy.

Kardashian shared how incredibly thankful she is for her daughter, explaining that her daughter motivates her to strive for personal growth daily.

Kardashian added that the birthday trip had an extra-special sentimental meaning.

She shared a photo of a Riviera and wrote that it was meaningful to visit the same place where her parents honeymooned 47 years ago, and she was happy to share the experience with her daughter.

Kourtney Kardashian and her ex, Scott Disick, are parents to two sons, Mason, 16, and Reign, 11. She also shares a two-year-old son, Rocky, with her husband, Travis Barker of Blink-182.

Besides meeting up with her cousin, North West also spent some time with Sabrina Carpenter, who smiled and posed for photos, shielding her eyes from the camera’s bright flash.

In a different picture, the rapper-to-be stood with a friend and Lizzo, who was wearing a bright red leather baseball cap on top of her curly hair.

In almost all of her photos, North appeared to be covering her mouth, as if trying to hide a surprised expression.

I was following my favorite artist’s weekend at the festival, and it was a bit bittersweet. Just before, her dad had to sadly postpone one of his own concerts in France as a precaution, and she shared a quick update with us all about how things were going despite that.

Okay, so, like, I was so excited for Kanye to come to Marseille, I already booked my hotel! But then, UGH, the French government started talking about banning him from the country, and now he’s had to postpone the show. It’s just… frustrating! They’re trying to silence a genius, and now I might not get to see him perform. It’s a total disaster!

Okay, so my absolute idol, this rapper, is driving me crazy! He’s trying SO hard to make it seem like he chose to postpone the concert, like it was all him. It’s totally shady, because we all know it wasn’t! He’s acting like he’s in control, but I can see right through it – he’s just trying to save face, and honestly, it’s killing me! I just want to see him perform, and this whole situation is stressing me out!

The performer, 48, announced on X that they’ve decided to postpone their Marseille, France show indefinitely after careful consideration.

As a longtime follower of Kanye West, it’s been really disheartening to see the controversies surrounding him lately. Now, France is trying to ban him from performing, which follows the UK’s decision to remove him as a headliner at the Wireless Festival. It’s a tough situation, seeing someone I’ve admired face these consequences for his recent statements.

After making antisemitic remarks, West has been trying to rebuild his public image in recent weeks. He recently published a full-page apology in the Wall Street Journal, explaining that a traumatic brain injury from a 2002 car accident may have contributed to his statements.

After releasing a brief statement, West returned to X an hour and a half later with a longer post. In it, he repeated his commitment to showing that he’d grown and continued to improve his well-being.

I understand it will take time for people to believe I’m truly sorry and committed to making things right. I accept full responsibility for my actions, but I don’t want to involve my fans in this situation. My fans mean the world to me, and I’m excited about the upcoming shows. I look forward to seeing everyone soon.

Kanye West was supposed to perform a concert at the Velodrome stadium in Marseille on June 11th, but the event faced strong opposition in France.

According to a source familiar with the matter, France’s Interior Minister, Laurent Nuñez, is strongly considering a ban on the rapper’s upcoming French concert and is looking at all possible ways to make that happen.

As a longtime observer of cultural trends and city life, I was quite surprised to see the recent controversy in Marseille. The city’s mayor, Benoît Payan, publicly stated that the artist known for the song ‘Gold Digger’ isn’t welcome there. He took to social media to explain that he doesn’t want Marseille associated with anyone promoting hate or Nazi ideology. It’s a strong stance, and definitely sparked a lot of conversation!

Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, faced widespread backlash last year for releasing a song with the title ‘Heil Hitler’ and for selling a swastika-branded T-shirt on his website.

France is trying to prevent West from performing after he was previously denied entry into the UK. This happened just before he was set to be the main performer at the Wireless Festival in July.

Because of the travel restrictions, festival organizers called off the three-day outdoor event and announced that ticket holders will get their money back.

Okay, so Kanye – my Kanye – tried to come to the UK, right? He applied for everything he needed, but the government just blocked him! Can you believe it? They said letting him in wouldn’t be ‘good for the public.’ Like, seriously? It’s just ridiculous! They’re keeping him from us! It’s totally unfair, and honestly, I think it’s because they’re scared of his genius. They just don’t understand!

Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated on social media that Kanye West should not have been chosen as a headliner for the Wireless festival.

Our government strongly supports the Jewish community and is committed to fighting antisemitism. We will continue to take all necessary steps to protect everyone and defend our principles.

The rapper was scheduled to perform in the UK for the first time in over ten years at the Wireless Festival in London’s Finsbury Park from July 10th to 12th. He was expected to play to around 150,000 fans over three nights. The rest of the festival lineup hadn’t been revealed yet.

Event organizers faced increasing pressure from sponsors and politicians to cancel the performance by West, due to his widely criticized antisemitic statements and expressed admiration for Adolf Hitler.

West issued a public apology in January through a letter that appeared as a full-page ad in The Wall Street Journal.

He explained that a four-month period of intense mania, marked by paranoia, impulsive actions, and psychosis, had devastating consequences for his life.

Health Secretary Wes Streeting criticized Ye’s repeated problematic actions, including his song referencing ‘Heil Hitler’ and his controversial merchandise. Streeting also stated that Ye shouldn’t use mental health as a justification for his behavior.

Melvin Benn, who runs Festival Republic, had already called Ye’s remarks ‘shocking,’ but he supported the decision to still have him perform, believing people deserve a second chance.

Oh my gosh, I was so relieved to see they finally made a decision about the visa! Honestly, the Jewish community was cautiously optimistic, but rightly demanded a real apology. I mean, the Board of Deputies is spot on – just saying sorry isn’t enough, it needs to be genuine. And the Jewish Leadership Council? They were absolutely right to speak out – with antisemitism spiking, booking this person felt incredibly insensitive and dangerous. It’s just…a lot. I’m glad they’re being vocal about it all.

Kanye West hasn’t performed in the UK since his headlining set at Glastonbury in 2015. Several sponsors, including Diageo, Pepsi, and Anheuser-Busch InBev, have pulled their support from the Wireless festival, and PayPal has stated they will no longer include their branding in Wireless promotions.
