Actress Nadia Fares dies aged 57 after being found unconscious in swimming pool of French club as her daughters pay tribute to ‘a great artist and mother’

Actress Nadia Fares passed away last week at the age of 57. She was found unconscious in a pool at an upscale gym.

The celebrity has been unconscious since the event that occurred at a popular club in Paris on April 11th.

She suffered a cardiac arrest and died on Friday. 

Nadia Farès’ daughters, Cylia and Shana Chasman, announced with great sadness that she passed away this Friday.

‘France has lost a great artist, but for us, it is above all a mother we have just lost.’

It is reported Fares had been swimming laps before she lost consciousness.

She was found in a yoga position at the bottom of the pool, according to the prosecutor’s office.

Another swimmer started CPR in an effort to revive her, before emergency services arrived.

Fares was taken to Pitie-Salpetriere hospital and placed in a medically induced coma.

She is remembered by her two daughters, born during her marriage to American producer Steve Chasman.

Fares had recently returned to France after living in the US.

She was due to direct her first film later this year.

Back in January, Fares shared that she was thrilled to be working with a fantastic team on an action comedy for Studios TF1, a project she achieved through dedication, curiosity, and perseverance.

In 2007, Fares had brain surgery to repair an aneurysm, which she called a dangerous and immediately life-threatening condition.

She also previously revealed how she had three heart operations within four years. 

She first became internationally known in 2001 after starring in the thriller film, The Crimson River.

Born in Morocco, she moved with her family to the south of France when she was a young child.

Fares began her television career in the 1990s, gaining widespread recognition for her part in ‘Elles n’oublient jamais’ (They Never Forget).

In the provocative series, she portrayed the other woman in a relationship with a married man, leading him to believe she was also involved with someone else.
