Ricky Martin’s sons Valentino and Matteo were seen with their famous father this week.
The 54-year-old Puerto Rican singer and songwriter arrived in Buenos Aires, Argentina with his identical 17-year-old twins.
Oh my gosh, I just saw them! They were walking across the airport tarmac – seriously, walking – towards this amazing SUV with a driver waiting. The boys had their backpacks, looking all cool and casual, and their dad was carrying this little silver suitcase. It was SO them! I couldn’t believe my eyes, it felt like a dream!
Martin and Matteo both looked stylishly relaxed in black T-shirts and dark pants. Valentino went with a white T-shirt, dark jeans, and a baseball cap worn backwards.
People couldn’t help but notice how much the boys had grown, especially when standing next to Ricky Martin, the famous singer who unexpectedly performed at the Super Bowl’s halftime show, leaving some viewers confused.
Fans reacted to the photos on Instagram, with one calling them ‘Gorgeous.’ Others commented on how much the boys had grown, noting ‘They aren’t little boys anymore’ and ‘Wow, they’re so big and tall!’
People didn’t all think the boys resembled their father, with some pointing out they didn’t look like him at all. One person wrote, ‘I don’t see any resemblance to Ricky,’ and another simply said, ‘They look nothing like him.’
Martin is playing two concerts in Buenos Aires this Friday and Saturday at the Campo Argentino de Polo, and both shows are already sold out.
Following these shows, his tour will head to Canada in May, Croatia in June, and Turkey in July. He’ll then return to the US for a concert on August 20th in Highland Park, Illinois.
Martin, who shares seven-year-old daughter Lucia and six-year-old son Renn with his former partner Jwan Yosef, will likely continue to include his children in his travels.
Martin had always longed to have a big family, despite his initial struggles with his sexuality.
In a 2020 interview with Out magazine, he shared that he’d long dreamed of becoming a father, but often grieved the possibility, believing his identity as a gay, closeted man would prevent it.
Eventually, his wish came true when he became a father to twin boys, Valentino and Matteo, born through surrogacy in 2008.
Then, in 2017, Martin married Yosef, a Syrian-Swedish painter and artist.
Martin explained that when his children ask about having two fathers, he tells them they’re part of a modern family. He described this as a wonderfully liberating experience.
Eventually, the couple welcomed two children, Lucia and Renn, both born through surrogacy within nine months of each other.
Okay, so it’s official. Martin and Yosef… they announced their split back in July 2023, and honestly, it broke my heart. But the way they announced it… it was so… them. They put out this statement saying all they want now is to keep things peaceful for the kids, to still be a family in a way, even if they’re not together. It’s like they’re trying to prove they can still co-parent with grace and be friends. I just… I really admired how they handled it, even though it’s still so sad. They’re really prioritizing their children, and honestly, it’s beautiful, even through the heartbreak.
During the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, the performer spoke about his kids after being honored with the first-ever Latin Icon Award.
‘Everything I do, I do it with you in my mind and in my heart,’ he said in his acceptance speech.
