I’m A Celebrity’s David Haye made sexist remarks because he ‘couldn’t use AI in the jungle to check if his comments were safe’

Reports suggest David Haye’s controversial remarks on ‘I’m A Celebrity: All Stars’ may have happened because he didn’t have access to artificial intelligence tools that could have helped him avoid making potentially offensive statements.

It’s been reported that the 45-year-old boxer previously relied on artificial intelligence to verify the accuracy of everything he said in speeches, on social media, and in public statements.

According to a source, he’s always been focused on the game itself, making smart decisions to survive, and understanding how the camp works – not on intentionally upsetting people.

‘Those who know him best understand there was no malice behind the remark.

As soon as AI tools became available, he began using them constantly to ensure his comments weren‘t offensive.

According to The Sun, the comment wasn’t meant to be hurtful. People close to him explained that he relies on this kind of support, which wasn’t available during his time in the jungle.

Daily Mail has contacted David’s representatives for comment.  

On Tuesday’s show, David surprised and upset his colleagues when he boasted about his new girlfriend, describing her as ‘lovely’ but also saying she had a very unpleasant personality.

David explained that he believes women considered less attractive often have more appealing personalities, suggesting their wit and humor draw attention away from their physical appearance.

The retired boxing champion was talking about his girlfriend, Sian Osborne, and Scarlett and Ashley Roberts seemed shocked by what he said.

Scarlett, 35, told Heat magazine that she doesn’t often speak to David since they were both on the show.

We have a WhatsApp group, but it doesn’t include everyone. I won’t share the details, but I talk to Ashley almost daily.

Honestly, I’m always chatting with Mo Farah, Gemma, Bev, Sinitta, and Harry! It’s just… when you’re around people like that, you naturally end up closer to certain ones, and those are definitely my go-to people. I talk to them all the time, it’s amazing!

Although she didn’t mention being particularly close to David, it came out during the show’s press event that he was the one who started their WhatsApp group.

Scarlett spoke up after David shocked audiences with his recent remarks about his partner – the first time he’d discussed the relationship publicly.

He suggested having a get-together afterward, mentioning Sian is a great cook and can cater for around sixty people. He added that they often host parties like this in Costa Rica.

In response, David went on to describe her as: ‘Tall, blue eyes…’

Sinitta then said: ‘She sounds like she’s drop dead gorgeous.’

David replied: ‘She’s lovely, she’s got the personality of a proper ugly bird.’

Scarlett Moffatt was shocked and playfully scolded David, saying, “You can’t say that!” She laughed, clearly surprised by what he’d said.

When Scarlett and Ashley pressed him to explain, David said that many women who don’t consider themselves traditionally beautiful develop strong personalities, using humor and wit to connect with others.

‘People overlook the fact they’re not aesthetically amazing straight away.

Have you heard of the ‘Ugly Duckling Syndrome’? It describes girls who might not be considered attractive when they’re younger, but blossom into beautiful women as they grow older. The idea is that even after their appearance changes, they sometimes retain the insecurities or behaviors they developed when they felt unattractive.

Looking down and pulling her hair over her face, Ashley groaned: ‘Oh, dear God…’.

While many were left aghast by David’s view, his girlfriend apparently laughed it off.

Someone close to Sian, who is in a relationship with two partners, explained to The Sun that Sian understands why people were bothered, but he didn’t mean to cause offense. He intended it as a positive comment.

He considers himself somewhat of a thinker and was using the ‘ugly duckling’ idea to brag about how Sian turned out – beautiful and with a fantastic personality.

Sian thought the situation was amusing. She knows David is a genuinely kind person who adores her and always treats her with respect. Because of this, she doesn’t believe it’s fair to call him sexist.
