mo.co fixes Squid Blades Power Creep and Chaos Shard Farming Exploits
Story Highlights
- mo.co is reworking Squid Blades to fix matchmaking imbalances in Rifts.
- Chaos Shard farming exploit is also being patched to prevent infinite XP from pass loops.
If you’re frequently engaged with the game mo.co and aspire to top the leaderboard, you might be aware of the strategy called Chaos Shard farming. Moreover, in Rift battles within mo.co, some players have been exploiting the Squid Blades skill to remain unseen. To ensure a level playing field for all participants, Supercell is addressing these issues by releasing updates.
Hello there! Let’s dive into a chat about Squid Blades and Chaos Shard gathering today.
In light of some issues we’ve encountered:

No more FREE XP from the Premium Pass with Chaos Shard Farming
To start off, I’ll clarify how this system functions. Some skilled players at the top of the global rankings are employing a tactic to gain an unbalanced advantage by earning XP from the Premium Pass, thereby outpacing their opponents. When you vanquish monsters on the battlefield and gather Chaos Shards, it will continue to grant you the 5000 XP from the premium pass as a free bonus.
As a dedicated gamer, I’ve discovered a neat trick that might not seem like much at first glance, but trust me, if you stick with it, you’re racking up some serious free XP for leveling up. However, due to this loop exploit, the developers (Supercell) are taking measures to ensure the game maintains fairness for all players. Keep in mind that there will be a cap on how many times you can snag the repeated reward.
Joao.co, Community Manager at mo.co, pointed out that “Farming Chaos Shards is providing players with an edge on the leaderboard compared to those who are playing the game according to its original design.
Rest assured, it won’t impact the majority: less than 1% of players might observe a change.
Squad Blades are getting a major rework
Initially, when I grabbed Squid Blades from mo.co, what really caught my attention was its stealth feature. However, a few players have been manipulating the matchmaking system by remaining idle unless all 4 members of their Rift team aren’t using Squid Blades. Unfortunately, this intriguing ability will soon be eliminated as mo.co works on fixing Squid Blades.

According to Joao, since the full potential of players can only be realized when everyone on the team has it, they would deliberately lose if they were paired with those who didn’t use Squid Blade.
Although I’m not certain if I encountered such poor sportsmanship during my battles in Rift, it certainly isn’t beneficial for our community. Kudos to Supercell for addressing this issue promptly. To maintain a fair and enjoyable gaming experience, they plan to improve other features of the weapon and make some adjustments to preserve its unique appeal.
