Here’s what’s inside the Radiohead bunker at Coachella

Radiohead isn’t playing Coachella this year — but the English art-rock band is still here.

Okay, so I just heard the coolest news! Apparently, at the desert festival in 2026, there’s this new area called the Bunker, and Radiohead has completely taken it over. They’re debuting this massive audio-visual installation celebrating the 25th anniversary of ‘Kid A’ and ‘Amnesiac’. As a huge fan, I’m already planning my trip!

The Bunker, a huge underground space holding around 300 people, offers a cool, dark escape from the heat at the festival. It’s located between the Sahara tent and the Do Lab. I visited on Friday afternoon while workers were finishing up – they were still sweeping the new concrete floor, and someone was even playfully rolling down the grassy hill above it.

“Kid A Mnesia,” the band’s new project, combines animations by Thom Yorke and Stanley Donwood—imagine unsettling, simple drawings of figures moving through bleak, post-apocalyptic worlds—with reimagined music from the “Kid A” and “Amnesiac” albums.

The space is also decorated with artwork, and you’ll find a gift shop stocked with Radiohead merchandise.

Following its debut at Coachella, the art installation will travel to cities including Brooklyn, Chicago, and Mexico City, with plans to visit even more locations.
