Love Is Blind stars Ashley Adionser and Tyler Francis have split.

Previously engaged pair exchanged vows during season 7 of the popular Netflix series, broadcasted in October 2024. Later, they announced their separation to People magazine. Ashley, aged 32, stated that the breakup was essential for her personal development and tranquility.

Three months ago, a disclosure emerged about the split, following footage from the Netflix series that depicted Francis, aged 35, confessing to having fathered three children through sperm donation prior to the start of filming.

Previously, he had made untrue statements claiming his donation was for a couple who couldn’t afford a sperm donor, and told Ashley that he wasn’t certain if his offspring recognized him. However, during the show reunion in October, he cleared up these matters.

When he disclosed that he had fathered “two daughters and a son” as a sperm donor, her doubts didn’t falter. Additionally, she mentioned that he hadn’t provided her with all the necessary details.

Francis validated her feelings and asked ‘for a chance’ instead of ‘forgiveness.’

Following the broadcast of the episodes, a woman, Bri Thomas, stepped forward, asserting herself as Tyler’s children’s mother, and disputed Tyler’s statements, suggesting that he had indeed been involved in his children’s lives.

She had also previously implied that their kids are not ‘sperm babies’.

Overwhelmed with joy yet hit by a pang of concern, I couldn’t help but feel the impact when photos emerged of Tyler spending precious moments with his kids during Christmas, coupled with claims about unpaid child support and allegations that he deserted them for the sake of the show.

At the gathering, Tyler mentioned that he had assisted a friend and her partner in starting a family, and later on, he willingly took over the responsibility of looking after the kids when the friend’s spouse chose to leave.

He said he did lie about not knowing what his kids looked like to ‘protect their privacy, 

Additionally, he maintained that he had communicated with Ashley about it, and they had numerous private discussions outside of the camera’s view.

Tyler started off by saying, “That group of children and their family didn’t ask for this situation. I’m doing my best to prevent what’s currently occurring.

‘Their birth certificates are online, things that shouldn’t be happening are now happening.’

he added: ‘I aided a pal and their spouse to establish a family, but unfortunately, the spouse later abandoned them’

In this situation, I was not just an acquaintance, but a very dear friend. As such, I willingly got involved to lend a hand. Consequently, there are photos of me present, I’ve celebrated holidays together with everyone, and I shared memorable moments with their children. Unfortunately, my friendship with one of them grew quite unstable.

In other words, there’s no standard guide or clear-cut path for this, but I feel it’s important to make it clear that Ashley is well-versed in all these matters.

Tyler mentioned that this particular piece of information is groundbreaking for the global community, yet it has been common knowledge for him and his inner circle. He’s choosing to clarify now because he senses a widespread curiosity about it. However, he emphasizes that he only feels compelled to provide an explanation if his wife is present with him.

In the final episode, Ashley confirmed Tyler’s statements, mentioning that she had actually preferred not to discuss the matter on-camera initially.

‘This was something he never wanted to share on camera,’ she said.

I felt that without doing it, the experience wouldn’t seem genuine, and I wouldn’t be able to sustain it due to my inability to conceal my emotions through facial expressions.

‘I think there would have been a disconnect and the viewers would have noticed…

‘So I told him in some capacity we have to talk about this.’ 

Later on, Tyler expressed frustration towards the mothers of his children, stating: ‘I wish they could focus on their family and give me some personal space.’
