Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little’s Shock Engagement News: The Inside Story
Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little have dropped an engagement bombshell live on-air.
On their popular radio show on Monday, the co-hosts confirmed that their colleague Jesse Watkins was recently engaged, ending speculations about a romantic relationship between them for some time.
Carrie asked, “Could we play some wedding tunes? One of our characters got engaged during the summer on our program.
‘Jesse, well done!’ Carrie added as the energetic newsman replied: ‘She said yes!’
Previously, the veteran radio host had verified the news through an Instagram post on December 16th. This was during a time when Carrie and Tommy’s team were enjoying their Christmas vacation. He shared a heartwarming picture of him and his fiancée, Caroline Varney.
‘Yay yay yay!!! The best!!!’ Carrie gushed and Tommy added: ‘Well this is a bit f***ing cute.’
Since they co-hosted their popular HIT FM radio show in Paris, France back in 2023, there have been whispers that Carrie and Tommy might be more than just friends.
In November, they were seen affectionately posing together backstage during the ACRAs, as they decided to forego walking the red carpet entirely.
In 2022, Carrie parted ways with her long-term companion, Chris Walker, who is Chris, whereas it appears that Tommy has been unattached since he separated from Natalie Kyriacou in the year prior, which was 2021.
When Carrie announced her break-up, Tommy quickly made his way to her side, fueling whispers among onlookers that their bond might deepen into a stronger relationship.
In early 2022, I shared a significant update on my Instagram account: Chris and I have decided to go our separate ways, but our top priority will always be the well-being of our precious kids – Ollie, aged 16, Evie, eight, and Adelaide, five. We are committed to navigating this new chapter as amicable co-parents for their sake.
‘It’s with immense sadness that Chris and I have decided to separate,’ she wrote.
Despite the challenging circumstances, we are prioritizing nurturing, caring for, and providing all the support we can to our three kids: Ollie, Evie, and Addie.
The radio co-hosts have also had a hugely successful year in 2024 with their drive-time show.
Once more in August, Carrie and Tommy were recognized as the top-ranking national drive-time radio program in Australia.
On Australia’s airwaves, the popular program on The Hit Network claimed an impressive 11.1% audience share, marking its fourth consecutive victory at the number one position.
