Fans Convinced Dressed Crab on The Masked Singer is a Grammy-Winning US Singer

Viewers of The Masked Singer believe they’ve identified the character, Dressed Crab, as an American singer who has won a Grammy Award.

On Saturday evening, the ITV program was re-broadcast featuring the character delivering an outstanding cover version of Earth, Wind & Fire’s “Let’s Groove,” leaving the judges highly impressed.

Following the performance, spectators expressed their belief that Gregory Porter had been disguised as a Crab during the show on social platform X.

53-year-old Gregory is a renowned American artist, excelling as a singer, composer, and musician. He has earned two Grammy Awards for Best Jazz Vocal Album: once in 2014 for Liquid Spirit, and then again in 2017 for Take Me to the Alley.

Writing on X – formerly Twitter – one fan said: ‘Dressed Crab – is 100% Gregory Porter.’,

‘I think that Dressed Crab is Gregory Porter.’,

‘Going for Gregory Porter as dressed crab.’,

I believe that the person being referred to as ‘Dressed Crab’ might actually be Gregory Porter. Given the context of this show, it seems that the elaborate attire is likely a connection, since both Gregory and Billy Porter share the same last name.

In the program, there was a hint that pointed towards ‘water’, leading one spectator to recognize: ‘Gregory Porter’s first album bears the title “Water”.’

In another development, The Masked Singer UK unveiled the real singer behind the Tattoo costume during their broadcast, causing quite a stir among viewers.

On Saturdays, during the show titled “Tattoo,” a group consisting of five characters – Teeth, Kingfisher, Dressed Crab, Snail, and one more yet to be revealed – shared additional clues about who they really are on stage.

The judges eagerly pieced together the clues, trying to figure out who might be behind the masks.

In the end, the audience at the studio selected only two characters, Tattoo and Dressed Crab, for a musical competition. This left the original three competitors secure for the next week without any further challenge.

Dressed Crab performed Drift Away by Dobie Gray, while Tattoo sang Proud Mary by Tina Turner.

The judges then chose to save Dressed Crab, meaning Tattoo’s time on the show had come to an end.

Prior to the grand unveiling, the judges each made their last guesses. Jonathan Ross hinted that it could possibly be Rachel White, Mo Gilligan believed it was Danny Minogue, Davina McCall speculated Nicole Appleton, Maya Jama selected Lacey Turner, and Tom Daley assumed Kim Marsh.

The crowd erupted in applause once the celebrity took off their mask, and it turned out to be no one other than ’80s pop sensation, Carol Decker!

As the frontwoman of the renowned pop group T’Pau, I found myself at the forefront of the global music scene during the exhilarating years of the late ’80s and early ’90s, experiencing a wave of success that few artists can claim to have ridden.

Fans quickly took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their reactions to the big reveal.

They said: ‘I had kym marsh / carol decker so i’m half good at this.

‘Carol Decker wow that was amazing,’

‘I would never have said Carol Decker.’

‘Wow Tattoo was Carol Decker!’

So far there have been a number of celebrities who have been voted off the show.

Macy Gray was revealed as Toad in the Hole, while Pegasus was Prue Leith.

In an exciting twist, I found myself revealed as none other than Spag Bol, much to everyone’s surprise! And let me tell you, it feels great to step out from behind that delicious tomato-based sauce. Meanwhile, Mo Farrah, the athletic superstar we all know and admire, was unveiled as the Giant Joel. Quite a transformation for him, I must say! It just goes to show that beneath our everyday personas lie hidden talents and surprises waiting to be discovered.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, let me clarify for you some intriguing characters that have been sparking curiosity among many: I’m referring to Bear, Bush, Dressed Crab, Kingfisher, Pufferfish, Snail, Tattoo, Teeth, and Wolf. Each one of them plays a unique role in my daily life, bringing color, charm, and lessons to my experiences.

The Masked Singer airs on Saturday on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
