As a seasoned observer of the world of celebrities and their offspring, I must say that the story of Chris Martin and his daughter Apple’s debutante ball is quite intriguing. It seems that despite being a famous musician and father to two college-aged children, Chris remains a loving, jovial, and humble figure.

Last month, Chris Martin watched with pride as his and ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter, Apple, attended a notable social event called Le Bal des Débutantes in Paris for the first time.

In his latest interview with Rolling Stone, at the age of 47, Chris Martin confessed that he had never envisioned himself attending a debutante ball someday.

However, he ultimately performed the action due to a deep affection for his twenty-year-old offspring, who was later involved in ‘mean girl’ antics at the nepotism baby event and faced accusations.

In a completely unexpected turn of events, I never imagined myself doing this, yet due to my profound love for her, I find myself saying, “Alright,” as Chris shared with the media outlet.

The interview took place a week prior to Apple’s scheduled appearance at an exclusive event. During this interview, she was accompanied by her mother Gwyneth (age 52), younger brother Moses (age 18), Gwyneth’s own mother Blythe Danner (age 81), and Chris.

The prestigious family, having received a personal invitation from the event’s organizer, were elegantly attired in designs by Valentino.

Apple left the audience amazed as she struck poses while being photographed in an exquisite, handcrafted blue Valentino Haute Couture dress. It was reported by Vogue that the renowned Italian luxury fashion brand spent a total of 750 hours to create this stunning piece.

At a lavish event in the Hotel Shangri-La, which costs $1,000 per night, Apple was one of the 20 young women who were showcased.

She came accompanied by her date, Count Leo Henckel von Donnersmarck, followed by a lively reunion with her well-known parents, who parted ways in 2016.

During the course of the gala, Apple and her father, Chris, shared a special moment as they danced together. This heartwarming father-daughter dance was captured on video and later shared on the TikTok account @gala.fr.

Chris, clad in a sleek black tuxedo, exuded a sense of immense satisfaction as he and Apple gracefully danced a slow waltz, culminating in a warm hug.

Nevertheless, the pleasant experience was marred when Apple was accused of behaving unkindly or unfairly during the event, reminiscent of a ‘bully’ or ‘troublesome girl’.

She received criticism from another debutante for constantly being in the spotlight and giving disapproving glances towards her charming escort.

Online critics labeled Apple as being arrogant and rude, whereas some defenders argued that her actions were simply playful or a form of humor.

In response, a representative from Apple’s mother Gwyneth’s team clarified to DailyMail.com that Apple identifies more as a friendly, supportive girl rather than someone who behaves in a harsh or unkind manner.

Apple is quite lively and enjoys having fun; she’s very much a friend to the ladies. She wouldn’t dream of stealing the limelight from others, as that wasn’t her purpose.

‘To characterize her as a mean girl is very untrue,’ the insider said.

‘The evening she spent was truly delightful, and it’s regrettable that what follows diminishes its impact in any way, as it had been a very inspiring night not just for her but also for the other young ladies present.’

Even Aliénor Loppin de Montmort, the alleged victim of Apple’s ‘mean girl’ behavior, spoke up in her defense.

She called Apple ‘the nicest girl ever’ in a statement to PEOPLE.

Apple doesn’t merit even a drop of what she’s receiving, given that she was the kindest girl I’ve ever encountered – not just with me, but with everyone in our social circle.

After some time had passed, Apple finally spoke up about the incident by posting a playful TikTok video with two other women.

Appearing to mock the roll-of-the-eyes date controversy, Apple playfully commented through a voiceover: ” frankly, it’s hard for me to understand why anyone would have an issue with us.

One companion, positioned next to Apple, silently conveyed: “We’re quite amusing, aren’t we? We’re two of the most entertaining ladies around,” as Apple, standing behind her, shot a disapproving glance in her direction.

The voiceover went on saying: ‘I also know you outside this virtual world, and when I say there isn’t a more giving, charitable, and kind-hearted pair of individuals around…’

In Chris’ conversation with Rolling Stone elsewhere, he shared thoughts on what it’s like being a parent of grown children who have left home to attend university.

The musician lamented his current situation, expressing it simply as, ‘It’s a pity. Anything else wouldn’t feel right,’ he mused about his new way of life. However, if he were still insisting, ‘I can’t go out,’ you might worry more about him.

Apple, as well as Moses, are both freshmen in college. The first one goes to Vanderbilt University, whereas Moses is studying at Brown University.

The article in Rolling Stone mentioned that Apple’s latest event provided a wonderful chance for the family to renew their connections.

Speaking about his children, Chris mentioned that he really enjoys spending time with them. He added humorously, “They might not be my biological kids, but here’s a little secret – they are mine!

He then shared how he likes to ’embarrass’ his 18-year-old son Moses.

‘My favorite new thing to embarrass my son is, if we’re walking down the street and someone comes up to us and they say, ‘I’m sorry to disturb you while you’re with your son,’ I say, ‘That’s not my son. That’s my partner,” he revealed with a laugh.

‘Yeah. I like them a lot. I think they are mine, to be fair,’ Chris said.
