Latest twist in Jamie Foxx’s downward spiral: Fans brand him racist and misogynist after anti-white tirade – a year after ‘anti-semitism’ scandal – as he’s left requiring stitches after glass throwing incident
As a seasoned observer of Hollywood’s rollercoaster ride, I must say that Jamie Foxx’s life story is nothing short of extraordinary. From his humble beginnings to his meteoric rise as an actor and musician, he has navigated the ups and downs with an unparalleled grace and resilience. The recent health scare he faced was a stark reminder that even the most vibrant and vivacious among us are not immune to life’s unpredictable twists and turns.
In recent weeks, Jamie Foxx has found himself at the center of controversy following some inappropriate remarks he made regarding white women.
57-year-old comedian found himself in a heated discussion following the release of his Netflix show “What Had Happened Was…” due to some remarks perceived as criticizing his former partner, Katie Holmes.
He said of dating: ‘Sisters, I’m here to tell you, I’ve been cured. I’ve been cured of everything, no more white girls. I’m serious, no more white girls. No more white girls. No more. No more white girls.’
At his 57th birthday celebration over the weekend, a glass was hurled towards him, striking his face, necessitating stitches.
He was out celebrating his birthday after finally revealing the reason behind his mystery hospitalization last year, explaining he suffered a stroke caused by a bleed on the brain.
The comments about ‘white women’ is not the first time he has been caught up in scandal.
Just last year he was forced to apologize for a controversial post branded anti-Semitic by fans.
The controversy began when Foxx took to Instagram to share an emotional message that read, ‘They killed this dude called Jesus… what do you think they’ll do to you???!’
Subsequently, it included the hashtags #disguisedfriends and #shamaffection, and certain individuals perceived them as potentially anti-Semitic.
Foxx made it clear that his previous post was not intended to target or refer to the Jewish community.
On Sunday, Katie was observed for the first time since he uttered a controversial remark suggesting that he had been “cured” from dating women of Caucasian descent.
On a Sunday, the 45-year-old actress walked briskly through the bustling streets of New York City, maintaining a composed expression and offering a bright smile to passersby.
Her excursion took place only a few days following the release of Foxx’s Netflix special, titled “What Had Happened Was…”, which subtly referenced their six-year relationship.
Sitting down at a piano, the Hollywood star sang: ‘Sisters, I’m here to tell you, I’ve been cured.
‘I’ve been cured of everything, no more white girls. I’m serious, no more white girls. No more white girls. No more. No more white girls.’
With the crowd clapping and rising from their seats, Jamie exclaimed: ‘I’m back in the urban area!’ or ‘I’m back in the city’s gritty side!’
“There will be no more Caucasian women. No more potato salad or raisins. I’m done with Caucasian women. No more fake tans, no more large breasts or attractive derrieres. I’m moving on from Caucasian women.
Jamie has had several high-profile relationships over the years with both black and white women.
In 1993 he dated Connie Kline, and the pair went on to welcome daughter Connie one year later.
From 1996 to 2001, he had connections with the Haitian actress Garcelle Beauvais, and later dated actress Leila Arcieri in 2005.
In 2008, Jamie dated Kristin Grannis, the mother of his second daughter, Anelise.
He then dated Katie from 2013 to 2019.
Some individuals expressed their disapproval of Jamie Foxx’s remarks online, stating: “Jamie Foxx, it’s hard to believe such a misogynistic, racist comment from a black man! If a white man had said what he just did about black women, there would be outrage.
“After dating Katie Holmes for six years and suffering a stroke, Jamie Foxx expresses that he has decided not to date white women anymore.
His remarks concerning ‘white women’ emerged following allegations of anti-Semitism made against him by certain fans last year.
He shared a message that read, ‘They killed this dude called Jesus… what do you think they’ll do to you???!’
It was followed by the hashtags #fakefriends and #fakelove, and some interpreted to be anti-Semitic.
Jennifer Aniston seemed to express approval towards the comments, but she swiftly took to her Instagram Stories to clarify that she had no involvement or association with the controversial topic that was implied by those comments.
‘This really makes me sick, ‘she wrote.
‘I did not ‘like’ this post on purpose or by accident,’ The Morning Show star maintained.
There are dozens of fan accounts on social media under the name Jennifer Aniston.
Additionally, I feel it’s crucial to make it absolutely clear: I unequivocally stand against any manifestation of antisemitism. Furthermore, I strongly condemn hate in all its forms. End of discussion.
Foxx subsequently made clear that his post was not intended to target or refer to the Jewish community.
Jamie made another attempt to address the issue by publishing a new post saying, “I wish to express my sincere apologies to the Jewish community and anyone who felt offended by my previous post. I now understand that the words I used were inappropriate and caused hurt, which was not my intention. I’m truly sorry for any distress I may have caused.
He made it clear that when he used ‘they’, he was referring specifically to someone who pretended to be a friend but actually deceived him, not anyone else or anything else.
In a simple and friendly manner, ‘I have nothing but affection for everyone, and I am particularly fond of the Jewish community. If I unintentionally caused offense to anyone, please accept my sincere apologies. Warm regards always, Jamie Foxx.’
In a simple and conversational manner, we could say: “Afterward, the head honcho of the Anti-Defamation League, Jonathan Greenblatt, took to Twitter to express gratitude for Jamie’s apology.
‘We welcome @iamjamiefoxx’s apology and thank him for his clarification.’
The issues he’s been facing can be traced back to 2012, when a joke he told during a Saturday Night Live monologue caused quite a stir in the news.
Foxx humorously referenced his role in the 2012 film “Django Unchained,” where he portrayed a former slave turned bounty hunter.
In his monologue he said: ‘I kill all the white people in the movie, how great is that?’ as some of the audience laughed in response.
The video of him on SNL started recirculating on social media after the antisemitism row.
Foxx said in the monologue: ‘I got a movie coming out, Django Unchained, check it out. I play a slave. Uh, how black is that?
‘And in the movie I have to wear chains. Umm … how whack is that?
“Don’t fret, for in this story, I break free from my bonds, rescue my spouse, and eliminate every character portrayed as white. Quite an empowering and distinctive turn of events, isn’t it?
Following the disclosure that a glass was hurled towards him during his birthday celebration in Beverly Hills last Friday, causing him to need stitches, his current controversy arises.
The event took place at Mr. Chow restaurant, where Foxx was spotted arriving for a joyful dinner with his daughters, Corinne (age 30) and Anelise (age 16), along with his ex-partner, Kristin Grannis, who is also Anelise’s mother.
At Jamie Foxx’s birthday celebration, an individual from a different table accidentally threw a glass which struck him on the mouth, as reported by his representative to DailyMail.com.
‘He needed some sutures and is currently healing. The authorities were involved, so the situation has been handed over to the relevant legal authorities.’
At approximately 10 PM, TMZ reports that authorities were summoned to Mr. Chow’s location; however, Mr. Foxx was no longer on the premises when the police arrived at the restaurant.
It’s reported that Foxx’s name appears on a list of individuals suspected in the alleged altercation, which police have documented as a possible assault case.
DailyMail.com has also reached out to Mr. Chow for comment.
Last year, Foxx disclosed the explanation for his previous unexplained hospitalization. He had experienced a stroke due to bleeding in the brain.
In April 2023, the actor was urgently taken to the emergency room due to an unexpected health issue, a ‘medical predicament’ that his family chose to keep confidential initially.
Foxx recently shared details about his ordeal and acknowledged that he experienced a 20-day lapse in memory, coupled with an inability to walk, during his intense health struggle.
In the heartfelt segment of his Netflix special titled “What Had Happened Was…”, he reminisced about April 11th: ‘I had a severe headache that day, and I requested Aspirin from my son.’
It became apparent to me swiftly that during a medical crisis, they aren’t equipped with the necessary knowledge.
Foxx then confessed: ‘I don’t remember 20 days.’
Becoming emotional, Foxx broke down in tears as he declared to the audience that he was ‘back’, adding: ‘You don’t know how good this feels.’
The well-known actor acknowledged that the cause behind his brain hemorrhage remains an enigma, further stating: ‘To this day, we’re unsure of the specific events that transpired with me.’
Initially, Jamie began his statement with “What transpired was…” Then, he found himself overwhelmed with emotion, shedding tears. However, the crowd’s warm response of applause provided him comfort.
He continued: ‘Your life doesn’t flash before you. It was kind of oddly peaceful. I saw the tunnel, but I didn’t see the light. It was hot in that tunnel.’
Jamie then quipped: ‘S**t, am I going to the wrong place?’
The Academy Award-winning actor attributed his life to his sister Deidra, as she took him to Atlanta’s Piedmont Hospital, where an operation that saved his life was performed.
He explained that since they didn’t want people to make fun of him due to his condition following a stroke, which made him feel dizzy and caused uncontrollable movement in his head, his family chose to keep details about his health scare private.
Jamie shared that he clearly recalls regaining consciousness from his coma on May 4, and found himself unable to walk at the time.
He recalled: ‘When I woke up, I found myself in a wheelchair. I couldn’t walk.’
Nevertheless, Jamie refused to accept that he had suffered a stroke, instead recalling his therapist saying, “To let the new Jamie flourish, you must put aside the old Jamie.
Additionally, he pondered: ‘God granted me wealth and recognition, yet when I lost sight of God, He blessed me with a stroke instead.’
The Netflix special marks Jamie’s big return to the stage following his hospitalization.
