Ariana Grande fans furious as ex Trump advisor calls Wicked casting RACIST saying star is ‘obviously Hispanic’

As a long-time admirer of the magical world of Wicked and its talented cast, I must say I was utterly appalled by the misguided remarks made by Gina Loudon about Ariana Grande. Not only does she lack the basic knowledge that Ariana is not white, but her narrow-minded views on race and talent are a disgrace to society. In my experience, it’s those who feel threatened by the success of others that resort to such petty comments.

Supporters of Ariana Grande are outraged following remarks by a previous advisor to Donald Trump, who labeled the singer’s role in Wicked as racist and incorrectly identified her ethnicity.

56-year-old conservative TV host Gina Loudon, who was often seen at Mar-a-Lago and served as an advisor to President-elect Trump in 2020, made unusual statements during her November 26 appearance on the network Real America’s Voice.

As a lifestyle expert, I must confess my initial enthusiasm for this movie was through the roof. However, upon closer observation, I found myself growing increasingly uncomfortable with the subtle social undertones that seemed to be woven into its fabric. The film, which features Ariana Grande, 31, as Galinda and Cynthia Erivo, 37, as Elphaba, appeared to carry messages I wasn’t entirely comfortable with.

She commented: ‘I ought to have realized it’s typical Hollywood – I really should have expected them to try to incorporate a progressive angle in their creative process.’

Let’s begin by acknowledging that Ariana Grande, who is actually of Italian descent, is cast in the role. However, her character in this film is portrayed as a stereotypically dim-witted, blonde, and villainous white woman.

‘The racism and the racial appropriation I just thought was offensive, frankly.

‘All white people aren’t dumb and evil, and I just get kind of sick of that storyline and I feel like that’s where it started, and it kind of lost me there and it was three hours long.’

Online users, frustrated by Loudon’s views and what they perceived as incorrect facts about Grande’s past, lashed out critically at her.

“In awe of every note she played, I exclaimed, ‘Her performance was nothing short of magnificent, yet she only received the harp!’

1st: Ariana identifies as Caucasian;

As an ardent supporter, I find myself often astonished, yet not entirely taken aback, for such intellectual finesse seems to elude those who align themselves with the Trump movement. After all, it’s part of their unique brand, isn’t it?

A user said that Loudon ‘failed to recognize her own racism when she called the movie “woke” for having a Spanish woman (Ariana Grande) play the ditzy blonde white woman. Ariana Grande is Italian.

As a dedicated admirer, I can’t help but ponder over a question that’s been lingering in my mind. Am I the only one who notices a pattern, a trend that seems to suggest that the most prestigious roles are often filled by individuals of a particular ethnicity? Is it just me, or is there an unspoken rule that only white actors are celebrated in this nation’s entertainment industry?

The user hinted at Loudon being jealous of Grande’s talents and celebrity in comparison to her own.

The user stated, ‘Ariana Grande is incredibly gifted among women worldwide.’ In contrast, they also commented on Gina Louden, saying she’s a bitter, racially prejudiced woman who struggles to accept that whiteness holds no unique value or superiority.

‘When being white defines who you are then your life is empty and lacks purpose.’

According to recent movie news, the National Board of Review has endorsed Jon M. Chu’s Wicked wholeheartedly, declaring the extravagant musical as the best film of the year. Chu was also honored as the best director for this production, while stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande received an award for their exceptional collaboration. The awards were officially announced on Wednesday.

With strong earnings at the box office already under its belt, Wicked is now gearing up for an award campaign that could potentially position it as a significant contender for the Academy Awards.

The National Board of Review, an esteemed film appreciation group based in New York that was established in 1909 by movie lovers and scholars, is unrelated to the film academy.

However, the victory at the Critics Choice Awards gave Wicked a head start in terms of momentum before the announcement of the Golden Globe nominations, where it is expected to excel.

According to Annie Schulhof, NBR’s president, “Wicked” embodies the unparalleled enchantment that movies offer their viewers. Each aspect, from the intricate details to the stunning design, is meticulously crafted. The actors deliver exceptional performances, while the music stands out as truly remarkable. Collectively, these elements create an immersive and unique cinematic journey like no other.

This week has seen an accumulation of honors, with the NBRs joining the ranks of the Gotham Awards (on Monday), the New York Film Critics Circle (on Tuesday), and the announcement of Spirit Awards nominees (on Wednesday).

On January 7, in a non-televised event held in New York, the NBR Awards will be presented by Willie Geist.
