A DC Studios Bane and Deathstroke movie in the works?!

As a seasoned gamer with over 30 years of DC comics under my belt (and counting), the prospect of seeing Bane and Deathstroke teaming up in a movie is nothing short of exhilarating! These two characters have always been among my favorites, each with their unique strengths, complexities, and intriguing backstories that make them stand out.

As a passionate gamer, I can’t help but be captivated by the rich universe of DC comics. It’s not just their iconic superheroes that grab my attention, but their villains as well, who are as legendary in their own right. When it comes to the roster of supervillains, two names stand out as some of the most intriguing and badass characters – Bane, the one who broke the Batman’s back, and Deathstroke, the relentless foe of the Teen Titans, often referred to as the Terminator.

For several decades, these two characters – Bane and Deathstroke – have captivated fans, yet they’ve never (as far as I know) collaborated significantly in any comic books, films, or series. However, there are whispers that this could change, with rumors suggesting a potential team-up for them in an upcoming movie from DC Studios! This is just speculation at the moment, based on recent gossip circulating around.

What’s official?

According to a recent exclusive report from The Hollywood Reporter, plans are underway for a joint movie featuring the characters Bane and Deathstroke at DC Studios. Details about this project are scarce or non-existent, as it appears to be in the initial stages of creation, with the script and overall storyline yet to be finalized.

According to an article on Screenrant, it’s been confirmed that Mathew Orton, the same screenwriter behind the script for the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film “Captain America: New World Order,” is writing the script for this particular movie.

As a dedicated gamer, I’m eagerly anticipating a potential team-up project in the DC Universe. However, word on the street is that James Gunn, the man behind the scenes, has the final say on all scripts related to DCU projects before they can even roll cameras. If my favorite script doesn’t make the cut, there’s a chance this project might get shelved or reimagined altogether. For now, all we fans can do is speculate about the film’s fate and the future of the DC Universe as a whole. Fingers crossed!

What could actually be happening?

There’s not much information available on the upcoming movie titled “Brave and the Bold,” but here’s what we do know: Damian Wayne is set to play Robin opposite a mature Batman, and it’s quite possible that characters like Bane and Deathstroke might have significant roles in the storyline or could even be the primary antagonists.

In a nutshell, this script presents two hypotheses: First, it suggests that in this upcoming movie, Batman may encounter Bane and Deathstroke for the first time, leading possibly to a repeat of Bane’s comics introduction where he breaks Batman’s back. However, it’s speculated that this scenario is least probable because this Batman film represents the debut of Batman in the DCU timeline (subject to change with future announcements), and it’s unlikely they would injure the new Batman so severely in his initial outing.

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve got an intriguing speculation brewing. The second possibility is that Batman has previously clashed with one or both of these villains – Bane and Deathstroke. It’s plausible that they’re now joining forces to finally best Batman for good. Here’s where things get interesting: Deathstroke might have been covertly employed by Ra’s Al Ghul, Damian’s grandfather and Batman’s long-time adversary. His mission? To eliminate Batman and bring Damian back into the fold of the League of Assassins, with Deathstroke aligning himself with Bane in this endeavor. Alternatively, it could be the other way around, with Ra’s Al Ghul hiring Bane, who then enlists Deathstroke to take down Batman and retrieve Damian. In the comics, Bane and Ra’s have collaborated before, notably in the Contagion storyline. Both scenarios are feasible, and it could pave the way for Ra’s Al Ghul to become the main antagonist in upcoming Batman films. However, this is just a fan’s imaginative theories about the future of DC in film and beyond.
