As a seasoned Fallout fan, with countless hours logged into Vault-Tec’s post-apocalyptic wasteland, last night’s Bethesda Fallout Day Broadcast left me positively giddy with excitement! The prospect of diving headfirst into the irradiated depths of the Gleaming Depths Raid and battling the Ultracite Terror has my heart racing like a radroach on a treadmill.
Hey there fellow gamers! Last night, I was glued to my screen as Bethesda livestreamed their Fallout Day Broadcast. Man, they unveiled some exciting stuff heading our way in Fallout 76! Among the goodies, they confirmed that the option to embody a Ghoul character, which they announced earlier, is indeed coming soon. Additionally, they teased an upcoming Raid called ‘Gleaming Depths’. Can’t wait to jump back into the Wasteland and experience these new adventures!
In the upcoming mission called “The Gleaming Depths Raid,” you’ll journey downwards into a clandestine underground research lab nestled within the Ash Heap. This lab was once used by the Enclave for investigating radioactive Ultracite. Your objective is to discover why this laboratory was deserted, all while battling the dangerous creatures and aggressive robots that now call the irradiated facility home.
In a recent post on the Fallout Day blog, they advise you to gather your closest companions, equipment such as weapons and armor, along with an ample supply of stimpaks, because the Gleaming Depths is not for those who easily tremble. The climactic confrontation against the Ultracite Terror will push you to your limits. However, as with any great challenges, there are extraordinary rewards to be gained.
The perks encompass obtaining Four-Star Legendary Gear, which can be acquired through earning or crafting, as well as Player Titles that become accessible upon finishing quests and challenges. One of the titles is granted when you conquer the Ultracite Terror in Gleaming Depths. Additionally, C.A.M.P. Pets are upcoming features, featuring a dog and cat initially, with customization options like collars for personalization.
In the forthcoming Gleaming Depths update, players can anticipate introducing a playable Ghoul character, equipped with unique Perk cards tailored for ghouls and a novel Feral meter. Unlike other characters, Ghouls are immune to hunger and thirst, but they’ll face societal prejudice as many individuals and groups are hostile towards them. Prepare for some unwelcoming reactions!
1) Discover additional information by checking out the Fallout Daily Broadcast that follows. At this moment, you have an opportunity to play Fallout 76 without charge until October 29th! Plus, there are newly introduced Twitch Drops and complimentary in-game items available for claim within Fallout 76.
