Chad Stahelski and David Leitch revealed to Business Insider that the project was on the brink of not happening because a potential investor pulled out.
In just a few days, we found ourselves in a difficult situation where we missed out on approximately $6 million due to a delay in funding during our independent gap financing. One of our investors failed to secure the necessary funds before the deadline.
Longoria stepped in just in time, offering bridge loans, which were needed mere hours before we would have been forced to shut down the film production and leave, he further explained.
The directors didn’t know Eva was the one who put up the money until the action film was released.
