Taryn Manning goes on shocking tirade against long-time friend amid months of sparking concern over bizarre behavior

Recent months have seen concerns raised about Taryn Manning‘s behavior, and she was recently filmed in a heated argument with a friend.

47-year-old actress, known for her role in Orange is the New Black, appeared to start a fight with her make-up artist, Holly Hartman. The two have a history of conflict.

Daily Mail has reached out to Manning’s representatives for comment and has yet to hear back. 

From what I understand, it looks like Hartman was actually filming the whole thing – the heated argument, the strong language – and unfortunately, it ended with the actress physically assaulting her. It’s a really upsetting situation, and it seems like Hartman was simply documenting what was happening when things escalated.

Witnesses reported hearing Manning yell, “Look what you’ve done to my studio!” and allege she became physically aggressive towards Hartman.

The actress then said she would call the police, and the makeup artist retorted, “Go ahead and call them—I’ll show them you were the one who attacked me!”

The video then shows the actress kicking a bag towards Hartman, and it looks like she moved towards her again before the recording stopped.

This isn’t the first problem for these two; they’ve had issues for almost fourteen years.

In 2012, the actress from Orange Is The New Black was arrested after reportedly assaulting her makeup artist, Hartman.

Taryn was arrested and held overnight on minor charges of assault and strangulation. As a result, she was ordered to complete one day of community service.

The charges were later dropped due to her good behavior over the following six months. 

In 2015, the assistant and makeup artist filed for a restraining order in Los Angeles.

I was shocked to read the court documents – apparently, Holly is claiming Taryn physically attacked her. She says Taryn put her in a headlock, headbutted her, hit her with a wet towel, and even sprayed Windex in her face and mouth. It’s just awful to hear about, and I’m really concerned for Holly.

The Los Angeles judge rejected the request for a restraining order, explaining that the incidents supposedly happened in New York, and therefore New York courts should handle the case.

I’ve been following Emma Manning for a while now, and it’s sadly well-known she’s struggled with her mental health. Back in 2016, while filming Orange Is the New Black, she had a really difficult time and was hospitalized at Silver Hill psychiatric facility in Connecticut. It was a tough period, and The Hollywood Reporter covered it at the time.

I was so worried when I heard Peyton Manning had initially left treatment after just two days, but I was relieved to learn he then spent a month working with someone dedicated to helping him stay on track. It was a little confusing though, because around that time, he publicly said he didn’t have a problem with anything and wasn’t using drugs. It all just seemed a bit contradictory, but I’m glad he got some support, however he needed it.

She stated she’s never seen methamphetamine, and has no experience with it. While admitting to past recreational drug use – specifically, occasional cocaine use which she’s since stopped – she described cocaine as ‘the devil’s dandruff’ and said she dislikes it.

In 2023, actress Manning caused controversy when she shared a three-minute video online. The video contained explicit details about a sexual encounter with a married person whose identity she did not reveal, and she appeared to slur her words while speaking.

She described intimate acts she claims she had with the man, said she wanted to purchase a boat for him, and stated his wife threatened legal action, specifically a restraining order, against her.

Manning went on to describe a confrontation that she had with the man’s wife. 

Manning stated she strongly dislikes the man’s wife, who she alleges called her unstable and threatened to obtain a restraining order if Manning didn’t leave her alone.

In a new video, the celebrity alleged that the married man sexually assaulted her while they were driving to Newport Beach.

In November 2014, Manning was arrested in New York City and accused of criminal contempt – specifically, breaking a restraining order and threatening her former roommate, Jeanine Heller. These charges were eventually dismissed.

She went on to say that she knows Britney is strong and thinks for herself. She commented that Britney seems happy and is enjoying life, encouraging her to keep sharing positive updates and holding onto her faith. Instead of using the hashtag #freebritney, she suggested #GodIsWatchingOverBritney.
