Big Brother housemates are forced to EVACUATE show set as ITV cut off live stream and activate warning over emergency incident – and fans are convinced they know why
As a seasoned Big Brother viewer with over a decade of watching under my belt, I must say this latest twist has me on the edge of my seat! I remember the days when Marcello would have been nominated without a second thought, but it seems the tide has turned and he’s managed to slip through the cracks.
On Monday, the residents of the Big Brother house were asked to leave due to an activated emergency alert signal.
The supervisors at ITV temporarily halted their live broadcast and replaced it with bird music while they addressed an unsettling situation where a fire alarm was activated.
The feed airs from 11:30pm to 2am every night except Saturdays, allowing hardcore fans to get a glimpse of what the housemates are doing outside of the hour-long episodes.
But the real-time footage was cut for more than two and a half hours with no explanation.
Frustrated spectators, upon encountering repeated clips and avian noises instead of the expected event, turned to social platforms to share their speculations about the unusual occurrence behind the scenes.
However, ITV officials have alleviated the concerns of viewers by revealing that the interruption in the live feed was due to a fire alarm. Rest assured, all housemates are safe and sound.
A representative from ITV shared with TopMob that the housemates had to leave the house temporarily on the previous day due to activation of a fire alarm.
“Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our team is always our top priority.
The event unfolded as a series of intense moments during Monday’s broadcast, where contestant Khaled accused Ali of disrespecting him, leading up to an emotional response from Daze. This was triggered by Khaled’s difficult choice regarding the nominations for eviction.
However, viewers remain unconvinced by ITV’s rationale and believe that Ali, facing eviction this week, may have secretly exited the show through a hidden exit (backdoor eviction) or voluntarily left it altogether.
‘I think Ali is trying to walk.’
Apologies, but today’s live stream didn’t meet our expectations. Here’s hoping we uncover what went wrong tonight and improve tomorrow. #BBUK
Actually, it turns out that the initial assumption was incorrect. The interruption in the live feed was actually caused by a fire alarm going off.
To discover what transpired during the times the cameras weren’t rolling, viewers will need to tune in for tonight’s broadcast.
In conversation with X, perplexed spectators joked: “Some instinct within me suggests Ali must have departed because I can’t find a live stream under the hashtag #bbuk
For an extended period this evening across the entire series, the live broadcast seems to have experienced an unusually long outage… even though we’ve witnessed heated discussions, HoH results, and post-nomination events unfolding live during the past few nights.
‘I think we’re going in blind for the first time tomorrow and something big has happened! #BBUK’
Could it be that Ali took a walk, which might have caused this situation? If that’s the case, I’m curious if the eviction scheduled for Friday on Big Brother UK will be postponed? #BBUK
‘I think ali has left’
‘I’m actually really worried now.’
‘I’m watching the livestream and christ nothing…I think this is a sign Ali is gone 🙁 #bbuk’
‘100% Ali has left and they don’t wanna spoil it’
‘Surely there’s a reason as to why the livestream ain’t been on? #BBUK.’
Following the episode on Monday, Big Brother fans were outraged as housemate Marcello managed to avoid any nominations.
A 34-year-old guide for young people has sparked disapproval among fans due to making conversations overtly sexual and falsely asserting that he had kissed Ali. Many spectators are urging the producers to intervene and reprimand him for his inappropriate actions.
Despite the fact that Ali, Daze, and Lily had garnered the most nominations, it turned out to be a fortunate turn of events for Marcello, as he was spared from the public vote scheduled for Friday.
Surprisingly, instead of just saving one housemate, Head of House Khaled had the chance to swap out one of the three females with another, or else nominate an additional woman for possible elimination.
Following his descent into the hidden underground room, Khaled decided to grant a Fatal Designation, thereby nominating Martha. It was later revealed that Martha cried heavily upon discovering her destiny.
As a devoted follower, I found myself, like Marcello, steering clear of the public voting process. However, the enthusiastic fans who rushed to X were anything but calm – they were seething. In their minds, ‘Marcello being overlooked for a nomination symbolizes the genuine essence of BBUK. Here, the public must patiently wait to witness the downfall of the presumed villain.’
Intrigued and somewhat baffled, I find myself questioning: “Amazingly, how was it that Marcello managed to bypass any nominations at all?
Lily received six nominations from Emma, Hanah, Izaaz, Khaled, Segun and Thomas.
Ali was nominated by Baked Potato, Hanah, Khaled, Marcello, and Sarah, while Daze was nominated by Dean, Izaaz, Marcello, Segun, and Thomas. In simpler terms, both Ali and Daze each got five nominations from different people.
This week’s eviction voting began at 10:15 PM on Monday night, only through the Big Brother mobile application. Viewers were tasked with choosing the housemate they want to see leave the house during this Friday’s live broadcast.
Big Brother continues on ITV2 and ITVX on Wednesday night at 9pm.
