One month following the announcement of their latest family member, Olivia Munn posted a heartwarming update on social media featuring herself and her loved ones.
On a typical Monday, I simply couldn’t wait to hop on Instagram, bursting with excitement as a proud fan, to catch a glimpse of the life of my beloved 44-year-old actress idol! And boy, was it worth the wait – she shared precious updates about her little miracle, Méi June Mulaney, and treated us to heartwarming family photos that made my heart flutter with joy.
‘The first month of Méi,’ she wrote in her caption alongside an emoji of pink hearts.
Following the arrival of their second child, who was brought into the world by a surrogate, Munn and her spouse, John Mulaney, became parents.
The pair got married in July and they’re proud parents of a three-year-old boy named Malcolm, who celebrates his birthday next month.
In the initial pair of images she shared, it revealed her spending a peaceful afternoon reclining on the sofa while cradling her little snoozing daughter. As the day turned into night, her son was seen nestled next to them, offering affectionate cuddles.
Her carousel post included a sweet snap of her husband John Mulaney sharing an adorable father-daughter moment with baby Méi as he cradled her in his arms and planted a kiss on her cheek.
Munn also shared sweet close-up photos of her newborn daughter.
In one snap, she held a pacifier as she showed off her baby’s adorable features.
She also shared a cute photo of their baby girl yawning.
Additionally, the contented mom-of-two posted a picture showing Malcolm seated near and keeping an eye on Méi as she napped on the sofa.
Munn also shared a photo of just her and her husband showing off their matching socks.
She also included a short baby monitor video of her checking on their sleeping baby. In the clip, she looked adoringly at Méi and rubbed her belly.
On September 14, Munn and Mulaney posted a joint announcement on Instagram that they had become parents to a beautiful daughter.
In their Instagram post, Munn expressed, ‘I feel as though my heart burst open,’ and added that the meaning of their daughter’s name is ‘plum’ in Chinese.
‘I had so many profound emotions about not being able to carry my daughter,’ she said.
‘When I first met our gestational surrogate we spoke mother to mother,’ she added.
She showed me so much grace and understanding, I knew I had found a real-life angel.’
She added: ‘Words cannot express my gratitude that she kept our baby safe for nine months and made our dreams come true.’
Earlier this March, it was confirmed that Munn has been dealing with a type of breast cancer called Luminal B cancer.
She has been open about her journey, diagnosis and treatment, which included a double mastectomy.’
In May, she revealed that she had a hysterectomy that previous month in an interview with Vogue.
She conveyed that the process would significantly enhance her living standards, however, it meant she could not conceive any additional children.
